You have made a very positive statement with regard to the position on finance for Barryroe which IMO is suggesting that you are far closer to the PVR hub than the very large majority on this thread, or 'informed' or 'close to' the inner circle of the department. I cannot recall shareholders, at any time, being assured that finance is truly available as and when required.

If that is the case, it would have been nice to have been informed of such, rather than shareholders having to guess who is to blame for these constant delays in the lease being approved. If what you say is fact, then it would be advantageous for one of these broadcasters to put this question directly to Mr Varadkar or, even Mr Ryan himself, which may answer the question as to whether they are on the same page or not. Much more pressure needs to be applied to Government from media.

The BOD seems to want us all to assume that the finance is available without actually telling us that it is so if your comments are as a result of some position then thank you for the clarification. If not, perhaps you would be good enough to clarify your source.

CEPA report has nothing of any substance for further exploration or securing additional gas reserves from existing exploration licences. Yes the macro environment has changed massively since this report was commissioned and put together, but the continued mantra remains that oil won't get any sort of fair look in going forward. I think it is high time PVR start looking for the Government to refund the hundreds of millions spent in good faith on exploration.

My fears now relate to the recent strategic review and management. We have had another change in senior management, an interim chief executive who doesn't say or appear to do a whole lot and we currently have no chairman. Will new management decide that the plan as outlined in the strategic review is all wrong and waste more time devising a new plan and strategy to their liking? To be fair to the government, pvr historically have shot themselves in the foot enough times to make a reasonable argument that they are not capable of progressing the licence.

There are two sides to most stories, and it would appear, after all these years, that funding Barryroe is, once again, being highlighted as the reason this licence is being withheld. From the comments made on the podcast, I would agree that PVR will not get a better opportunity than to challenge the comments made, by providing the proof that the necessary funding is available.

Surely that shouldn't be too difficult if PVR indeed have the wherewithal to meet those criteria. As we all know attempts to raise the necessary funding have, in the past, been an absolute disaster and one could easily see why this has become a sticking point as well as becoming an ideal excuse for Ryan's reluctance to release the licence.

It is now the time for our Board of Directors to stand up and be counted. The information we have been afforded over the past couple of years has been scant, to say the least, and the efforts made to successfully finalise this situation seem to hinge on the fact that they have "written twice" to Mr. Ryan. That at least is what we the shareholders, whose best interests they purport to represent, have been privy to. So just WHO is telling the truth and what else, if anything, has gone on between the two.

We have now seen the comments of a government representative openly stating that they do not oppose Barryroe so if the funding of the initial development is in place there should be no problem in setting up a meeting between the two sides to settle that issue once and for all. This comment should now be the green light for interested parties to commit the funds and for PVR to be a bit more open about what is happening. The ball is then clearly in RYAN's court to respond.

AIMHO regards.

Is this the cue from Leo to PVR?

Larry will never end up with the short end of the stick because, like all the rest, he is, and will be, well paid for whatever outcome ensues. The ones who will, and have, are those who have already lost millions in PVR, and especially the long termers who have had to witness the fall from grace and the unkept promises of yesteryear.

With the current state of affairs worldwide, and in particular the single-minded, tunnel vision policies, currently being strongly enforced by this Irish government, there is still a matter of finances to be overcome for Barryroe, something which history is telling us is far from being realised should permission be granted on the lease.

Having said all that I would agree that circumstances have begun to look more favourable and there will never be a better time to get Barryroe up and running. For me it's very much a question of when. I have long ago written off my investment here, on paper, but I remain optimistic that the loss will, at some point, be substantially reduced.

I am hopeful that the world is waking up to the fact that SOME government GREEN policies worldwide are contributing to the current state of affairs.

Thanks to all for the useful postings of recent weeks and good luck to all who, in the long term, take profits.

Can anyone recommend an online trading broker with reasonable fees that allow purchase of pvr of logp shares? I have used Degiro in the past, with great results, but it looks like they no longer allow the purchase of either for some reason.

rees is a capitalist to the core. this is potentially a good appointment for PVR as he will encourage investment from his ex city friends in oil and gas and is likely to tell Our shower to go take a hike if we need support from the UK

My theory is that LG is in PVR as a bridge to green technologies; PVR could morph into renewables. Many of the skills in oil & gas are required for the above.
Success at Barryroe could also provide necessary finance. Deep drilling could allow access to geothermal power and mining of brines. There are many extinct
volcanoes in and off Ireland where brines could open up the world to mining of lithium, gold, copper, ... For deep drilling see: hxxps://www.quaise.energy/
