Exxon Mobil is seeming to offload it?s operations in the North Sea for as much as ?2bn. It?s stepping up onshore production in the US. Production from North Sea is expected to decline. Large producers are being replaced by smaller companies many backed by private equity. From today?s Times

Bump, Our only crumb of comfort is that the Chairman and Director Mc Coss know their onions. How involved they are in day to day activities is unknown of course. Surely Pageant,The 0'Reilly family and the big holders must be keen to support any action that gets us to drill Barryroe. Cenkos say there is an appetite in the market for assisting in drill costs but at what discount to current price?

Total volume on the Irish Stock Exchange today was circa 185k. Compare that with the volume on the LSE. There was a 500k trade and that circa 2.1m trade on the LSE today. bones698 on the LOGP bb says that the 2.1m trade could be someone closing a short. Seems possible.

Volume is so low on the ISE compared with that on the LSE that it's probably wise to ignore volatility.
