15/11/2019 10:38 | Correction it looks like 3 p per shareStamp Duty... | ![]() washbear
15/11/2019 10:35 | PRV I note in my buy quote there is a charge 0.45% Stamp Duty. I asked iiMy Broker who said what determines this Is What the Company decides. This seems a bit caprious.Does anyone know the whys and how s of Stamp Duty ?.. | ![]() washbear
20/9/2019 17:33 | Tipped as a buy in IC this week. It's always been a bit under the radar this one, although that's not a bad thing in some ways. | ![]() tratante
19/9/2019 18:34 | Patience needed. Solid performance over last 10 years gradually reflected in enhanced share price, but illiquid and small volumes can have disproportionate effect. PRV has imo tended to under promise and over deliver. Not many small quality engineering businesses have escaped US predators. Mine locked away in the ISA, but always dyor. | ![]() partridge1948
18/9/2019 09:16 | Yay. In profit at last | ![]() volsung
06/9/2019 11:38 | Small but useful looking acquisition in Holland announced yesterday. Should be 9 month update later this month. | ![]() partridge1948

24/6/2019 15:50 | Porvair delivers yet again. | ![]() tratante
24/6/2019 09:16 | Splendid half year results. Cash generation relative weakness well explained. Not sure what IP may be hidden away in PRV, but I like the comment about "Patented molecular separations technology acquired in 2018". Not given to over promising, so "Order books for the second half are robust and prospects are encouraging" will do for me. Always dyor. | ![]() partridge1948
15/6/2019 09:32 | Steady rise in share price since positive trading update earlier this month. I like companies who report soon after the period end, as there is more than a grain of truth in the adage that "Good numbers take less time to add up than bad." Let's hope that is the case with PRV. Interims due on 24th June for half year to 31st May. | ![]() partridge1948
15/4/2019 18:29 | Yes, I second those thanks. Who says we have no innovation with world-class companies like this? A strong hold in my book even at this rating. | ![]() dozey3

15/4/2019 09:31 | Confident tone at the AGM last week and worth the trip to Wrexham. Investment in new oven at Porvair Sciences could lead to some potentially exciting new products. China still holding them back, but gradual progress being made there and overall well ahead of last year, helped by big spares order mentioned as a possibility this time last year. There should be better contribution this year also from recent acquisitions Rohasys and Keystone Filter. Highly rated, but justifiably so imo. | ![]() partridge1948

30/1/2019 10:32 | Can anyone think of other companies that are similar to porvair in terms of low debt, steady growth, good cash flow? | ![]() rangor
28/1/2019 09:30 | Solid performance once again from PRV. What a well run company looks like. | ![]() tratante
02/1/2019 23:15 | Thanks for your kind reply, Cellars. :-) You think the current share price is too high. You may be right, you may be wrong. In time, the market will say whether you are correct. At the end of the day, 'too high' or 'good value', etc. are judgement calls. Difficult one for me to predict atm. (I'll give your post 1261 an uptick when that facility becomes available to me.) :-) | ![]() ed 123
02/1/2019 18:13 | Ed My comment #1261 was in response to the request contained in #1257 which in turn had been kicked off by #1255 & #1256. So I think the current share price is too high to buy. What do you think of my assumptions & reasoning? Genuinely interested. | ![]() cellars
02/1/2019 11:04 | ??? Well, someone gave you an uptick, Cellars. I might do the same if I could understand your post. What are you saying? | ![]() ed 123 |
