Tratante @ 1257/60 & Losses @ 1259.

I only occasionally look in here and have only just seen (recent) posts.

A little more detail: adjusted EPS 23p FY-18, 24p FY-19 thereafter 5 year growth 8% pa (a couple of big contracts will land); comparison with wider market; 20% discount for size (small) and lumpy (big) contracts.

Is a PE of 20 so high for a company that's showing progressive growth in revenue and profits and growing both organically and by acquisition?

Purely on the grounds of PE.. it's higher than it should be.

Encouraging year end update today. Revenues up around 10% and profits ahead of expectations. Net cash. Order books healthy. PRV quietly goes about its business. Yield could be better but it has overall been excellent performer in ISA last 10 years. Always dyor

Really quiet bb board. Seems like a well run co. If most earnings are from overseas, I'd thought this would be higher/or is this just unloved?

Buyers were keen today but not much being offered for sale, so price is squeezing up.

Closed up 20p at 535p but only 21k shares changed hands.

Having a run at 550p?

Interesting AGM and solid trading update. Revenues up 9% on last time and order books "Healthy". Small losses still being made in China, but rest of the business looks on a roll. Finneran acquisition last year churning out monthly revenues of $1M+ and growth in super alloys and high margin 3D ceramic manufacturing. Decent nuclear filter order from the USA will ship in 2018.The Uk large nuclear contract finished in 2017 and profit is in those numbers. Still £8M held in deferred income and with large contracts in the Far East reaching commissioning stage a substantial part of that should hopefully find its way onto the P&L account over next few years - could mean some upgrades. After commissioning there will also be a need for replacement spares on the gasification plants - each one will need up to $1M every 2 years and there are 16 of them...

Thanks, Gleach23.

That'll be it.

Quoted mid price up 5% today. However, the buy side of the order book is thin. That may change but, if not, it's possible the shares will give back that 5% when the small buyers are done.

'Recent' as in this morning? A lot of small O trades this morning.

Tipped somewhere over the weekend?

ED 123 - I suspect it will be taken out within that time-frame, and for more than 600p. The IP and contract book are astonishing; classic fodder for a major player/predator.

Yes, looking good once again. At 600p the rating was so high that a bit of less good news was able to take it down. Would not be surprised to see Porvair back above 600p in 2(?) years.

Today’s update looks good.
Performance exceeding management expectations, and a small acquisition concerning robotic handling of lab samples.

Pharma should be a good growth market for PRV microfiltration provided it gives it the right focus

looks like company its back on an even keel, no reason to me why share price should not continue its upward trend to previous highs.
