29/1/2019 15:01 | technovator - that's utterly clueless. You clearly haven't read any of the ESMA documents from early 2017. Suggest you start there. | bgw1970
29/1/2019 14:51 | Chucko1, thanks for your answer. I am of the belief that the real money platform is vastly different & disavantages the retail client. It would be interesting to see the real platform & demo platform side by side for a true comparison. Regarding Hedging, the Ceo of Plus has previous stated to analyst's etc that they rarely hedge, & I am of the belief that they do not borrow stock! which gives rise to the question of do they truly offer a contracts for difference derivative product on shares etc or just a bet with Plus500 taking the Bet long or short.. I suggest the latter! Their broker Interactive Investors apparently have have never heard of Plus500!!!! and if it is a bet it creates a huge conflict of interest to a retail customer that the regulator has not yet focused on. | technovator
29/1/2019 14:23 | DJ why keep lying? Are you that desperate? | elcapital2018
29/1/2019 14:02 | To precisely answer the question - yes, I do use Plus500. More to check it out than to make serious money as I trade without leverage as I don’t really need to. The platform is excellent and the prices exactly as I would expect. I see nothing whatsoever in the complaints about the rigging of prices. I have tested FX, UK and foreign shares. It is so clear where and how they make their money - the 2-3% bid/offer in the financing spread x aggregate leveraged capital at risk x days in accounting period. Everything else is a side show by comparison. What no one knows precisely is the extent to which they avail of natural offset. If it is high, then the hedging is easier, but more importantly, they can charge financing spreads on both sides without actually having to hedge and hence finance themselves. Well, they have so much cash on the balance sheet that they are partly self-financing in that respect anyway. It’s all about volume and little else. (volume being the product of number of accounts and trading frequency - the latter being closely associated with overall market volatility). Until I see a tangible argument otherwise, this is the model I am using to analyse this thing - and hence the degree of exposure I take to Hanbury’s Fund. | chucko1
29/1/2019 14:00 | El Cap - You have already admitted that you also post as Technovator - oops did you forget that!!!!! | dj trading
29/1/2019 12:32 | Just more noise, likely from disgruntled punter with blown account. Can't wait for results, likely to surprise to the upside. | fangsforthememory
29/1/2019 12:25 | Wrong. Most of the staff are in Sofia. Get basic facts right. | bgw1970
29/1/2019 12:24 | "technovator 29 Jan '19 - 11:01 - 17341 of 17350 The bigger picture, sleep well you Bulls" Why post out of date irrelevant links - somebody getting desperate?! And why keep posting as El Cap and Technovator since you have been outed as the same! As for sleep well - you are the one now 300 points DOWN and if you had followed my advice and closed/gone long on the Dec ahead TS at 1300 you would have been 500 points better off NOW in just 4 weeks! You claim to be a trader but are not looking at the short term picture. The FY results in just two weeks are likely to surprise to the upside. (There is no "biggie" other than further Regulatory tightening which is usually flagged months or years in advance so low risk for active Traders) Anyway ElCap/Technovator - Once again I suggest you close your short and go long for a couple of weeks. Same advice I gave you at 1300 on the ahead TS which has now cost you 500 points in 4 weeks! Dave Jones Trading | dj trading
29/1/2019 12:18 | Does anyone on this board actually regularly use Plus500's real money platform? | technovator
29/1/2019 12:16 | barryharmer, Plus is a bucketshop, period! virtually all of the staff are based in Israel. The U.K directors are there merely to give the image of legitimacy. | technovator
29/1/2019 12:11 | In my naive little world the dividends flow like a river..and they aren't paid in IOU's either..so they are in fact real.Having said that you did indicate some time back that the founders payments would be passed onto shareholders I believe. I'm not entirely convinced by that personally, but to each his own! | noujay
29/1/2019 12:09 | barryharmer In your little world everything you see and hear is perfect!! naive | elcapital2018
29/1/2019 12:05 | Plus500 is a LSE Footsie 250 company, and it pays a very high percentage of it’s vast profits to it's shareholders. It is regulated by the financial regulators in the countries it operates. It has experts in compliance as both employees and directors. It is a legitimate company providing online gambling on movements in the financial markets. | barryharmer
