They will have to announce a real disaster in order to miss this years "super cautious" forecasts, particularly as q3 was trading in line with market expectations just four weeks ago.Would like to see a continuing growth trajectory in Australia and Singapore, since as far as I can see these will more than mitigate the effects of the new rules.

davebdavid - You will find there are many on this board who are happy to try and answer questions, whether that is novice or experienced. You will also find that using the filter button is a useful tool. Good luck with your investing/trading.

Andrew... I agree that they have always blow it out of the water at update time - the management has to be given huge credit on that score, and it's possible it will happen again. However, it's turning into a casino with these updates, and I'm glad I reduced my holding.

hussyo..maybe so but the current price, where the stock is trading at less than 7x earnings, more than discounts the industry wide malaise.I have added at 1476p

Plus do have a habit of being extremely conservative with their forward projections and expectations. Come the Trading Update they have previously managed to exceed expectations.

Villa... There won't be a bounce today, I"m afraid. CMC's worse than expected CFD decline will kill Plus until their own update.

The only good thing out of the IG and CMC news - and I'm clutching at straws - is that expectations for Plus's Q3 have dropped significantly. If they can pull another rabbit out of the hat... (I'm in a metaphor mood this morning)

CMC appears to be having significant issues with the launch and integration of ANZ Australia's 500,000 stockbroking customers on to their platform this morning.

This has early similarities to the mess Barclays made when it switched its stockbroking platform.

Interesting to see whether the price manages to gallop through 1540. The Playtech holding was sold at this price through the screwed up placing by CS. Judging by the price performance on the day, I guess CS was left with a large stick position which I thought might take a few weeks to clear.
