20/11/2017 17:31 | JPM are back at 5%. I think, with the share price now down to recent shoulder at today's close, there might be buy backs at this level (925p) Certainly on the chart this looks like a potential turn point ahead of div 23rd. We will see..... | pbutterworth1
17/11/2017 19:34 | Stuffee re buybacks I posted this a few weeks back "I think they had good intentions regarding buybacks but perhaps set a price cap too low. I had thought that a MACD limit was initially stopping buy backs but I note in their original announcement of 2nd June 2017 they mention share price as one of several restrictions (and I assume something similar for the further buyback announcement with 1H results 7th Aug) Looking at the only bubacks post Aug 1H results 7th 741p, 8th 798p 9th/10th none (price above 820) 11th 807p and no further buybacks Suggests that perhaps a price limit set around 810-820p So I'm not expecting any further buybacks - and presumably they will have to give a bumper special divi at YE to catch up!" | sailing john
17/11/2017 09:47 | Has anyone heard of further news re the attempted placing by founders of around 7m shares last week, as referred to in recent Betaville article, posted by TT? Evidently slight disagreement over price between founders and placees, which terminated negotiation. No doubt this caused the Plus price to plunge a few days ago, rather than concern re new regulation; I guess price might stay wobbly pending clarification of this placing. Would be nice if Plus restarted the suction pump and bought in shares again. Last utilised three months ago at just over 800p. | stuffee
17/11/2017 08:05 | Macsam - I can't help sorry - I'm into crypto picks and shovels not actual mining though I do have a PLUS account. Bitcoin hit another all time high at 8000 overnight! More column inches Bitcoin Cash currently on another charge +30% today. Hope PLUS are managing to hedge risk with these big swings - I trust they know what they are doing and always an option to increase spread if they need to. I have been following closely and noticed that they do adjust spreads on their crypto offerings both up and down occasionally. | sailing john
16/11/2017 14:49 | Had a position in Bitcoin Gold with Plus500 which expired 14/11/2017, repurchased the instrument for expiry 17/11/2017 but it expired last night on the 15/11/2017. Trading details confirm that it does not have daily expiry so I am unclear as to why it expired early. Did anyone else experience this? | macsam
15/11/2017 18:45 | New instrument Bitcoin Gold shown as 4th most popular instrument currently (second most popular crypto after Bitcoin). Has halved in value since introduction on Monday so spread 8 points has increased to a massive 4.6%. Not putting off the punters though with 91% holding long positions. Looks like a good earner currently! GL - SJ | sailing john
15/11/2017 13:47 | Good news that the non-exec sees value here. Volatility picking up in the markets should, hopefully, be beneficial for PLUS. | cfro
14/11/2017 18:35 | Daniel King - PLUS500 Non-Executive Director - bought 5323 @ 939.3p today | metis20
14/11/2017 16:10 | possible hockey stick bottom formed here - with start to 1100p. We will see | pbutterworth1
14/11/2017 15:55 | From another thread, may be of interest here. Breaking news.UK has decided not to ban Binary Options trading outright.Instead it will be regulated by FCA rather than the Gambling Commission. Good news for VLTY | freddie ferret
14/11/2017 11:02 | Anybody else looking at XTB?I've just started taking a look... | alan00
14/11/2017 09:41 | That is my reading of it too, share price was all over the place last week. No doubt a few were trading on the basis of that knowledge - sure it happens all the time. FCA never do anything. | dennislevine
14/11/2017 09:36 | Maybe there is something in the rumours of some original investors selling out..as posted above by TT | nurdin
14/11/2017 07:57 | XTB update from Leaprate Notably they say "the UK regulator, the FCA, already did a fairly in depth audit and analysis of broker processes and order execution methods a few years ago, which ended the slippage practice in the UK. The FCA handed out a few fines at the time for asymmetric slippage, most notably a £4 million fine in February 2014 to FXCM. So we would be very surprised if this becomes an issue in the UK." Hopefully we will recover some lost ground today GL - SJ | sailing john
13/11/2017 21:24 | TT - no idea Founders still hold 22% between them having sold 13% last year at 650 | sailing john
13/11/2017 19:00 | Any substance to this rumor? Founder looking to sell 7% of his shares. I have a decent size position and added a few more today. Also saw Plus added Bitcoin Gold already. Bitcoin Gold only launched today so it's pretty impressive they were able to offer it so swiftly. I believe it is the first CFD provider to add it. | travellingtrader
13/11/2017 18:04 | IG and CMC also down today - the news about X Trade Brokers may be a part of this | dennislevine
13/11/2017 17:13 | This is also the previous pattern post results goes up for a few days then Mr M gets the jitters over future regulation but the fact sterling is sinking against the euro again and Plus only do 20% of their business in the U.K. doesn’t make sense.Plus had to tell the market results would be ahead of market expectations for the share price to recover before, definitely an opportunity to purchase PLUS on the cheap | poolefox
13/11/2017 12:21 | nurdin re drop today I suspect a few are confusing ICOs with main stream major cryptos and worried about ESMA notice today and other regulatory concerns recently from around the world concerning ICO risk This from ESMA today Not relevant to PLUS as they only trade 9 major cryptos which have real and trade-able value but I suppose highlights general regulatory concerns about Cryptos. I expect we will correct back to 1000 today/this week and consolidation with +/-3% moves not unusual ESMA documents - not really that strong just warn of ICO risk Retail Investors Firms | sailing john
13/11/2017 12:14 | Might be on the back of ICM capital getting into cryptocurrencies. IG and CMC down 1%. Plus down way more- overdone IMO. Charles Fairbairn insider bought a further small stake of 5k shares on Thu. | aakash30
13/11/2017 11:13 | Hi PL - thanks for the links - step change in November it appears Glad you are still here - AWOL for a few weeks! PLUS haven't previously issued a YE TS as they get results out quickly in Feb. However I've penciled in a TS at YE unless Mr M upgrades forecasts for Q4 as I think they will need to tell the market they are ahead again! Other Brokers still playing catch up re cryptos it appears! GL - SJ | sailing john
13/11/2017 09:47 | Some interesting things are going on with Plus500 web traffic and bitcoin and bitcoin cash volatility: Plus500 90 day google trends. Plus500 at record highs on google trends. Bitcoin 6 month daily volumes at record highs. hxxps://www.worldcoi Plus500 Cryptocurrency YouTube video 6m+ hits. Record hit rate in November. Record hit rates in the high-value customer markets of Germany and Netherland in October and November. An explanation as to what’s going on in the crypto market. | planelondon
13/11/2017 09:47 | So why are we dropping? Regulatory worries? | nurdin
13/11/2017 09:36 | Cryptomania continues and getting stronger it appears Bitcoin Cash has bagged over the past few days whilst Bitcoin is falling away from it's recent 7400 high - currently 6250. (featuring in news items) PLUS have now changed their main menu drop listings to show Crypto as the first item and today there are 5 Cryptos listed in the top 8 most popular trading instruments. Clearly an important revenue stream currently I think Q4 Rev will exceed Q3/Q2 as another record quarter. I have $120m but I suspect that as usual I will be proved too cautious.
