27/9/2017 08:45 | "interceptor227 Sep '17 - 08:11 - 11849 of 11852 0 0 It was pretty obvious from the last interim results that they would be ahead for the full year, to issue an unscheduled trading update now before the Q3 update next month bodes well that the Q3 update is likely to be particularly bullish." I agree - no real need as they said ahead in 1H TS and results - so presumably Q3/2H going to be exceptional and above revised forecasts - perhaps a repeat of M6! (see link to PL posts below) | sailing john
27/9/2017 08:43 | Market still sceptical current price 869 on the news amazed it's not gone over £9 | poolefox
27/9/2017 08:21 | I was referring to Liberum Capital when I said they, they were very active upto 14th August, just checked the last purchase price which was actually 806p. But as you say SJ, we don't know the criteria that Liberum are working to. | interceptor2
27/9/2017 08:14 | IC2 - they don't directly control share buybacks (so they can buy in closed periods) - it is by a 3rd party to a set of rules that we have yet to work out! | sailing john
27/9/2017 08:11 | tech - not until they see the numbers - and then it's too late as price already moved Investing is all about understanding a business and how they communicate. As I said above when PLUS say ahead they mean AHEAD! Watch this space (and the share price) on the 31st! GL - SJ | sailing john
27/9/2017 08:11 | It was pretty obvious from the last interim results that they would be ahead for the full year, to issue an unscheduled trading update now before the Q3 update next month bodes well that the Q3 update is likely to be particularly bullish. Last shares buyback was on 14th August at about the 860p level, surprised that they didn't take advantage this week, maybe they still will. | interceptor2
27/9/2017 08:10 | Not news to us i agree, just surprised to see the RNS this quick. But im not complaining! :-) | cfro
27/9/2017 08:08 | does anyone actually believe their RNS's !!!!!???? | technovator
27/9/2017 08:08 | does anyone actually believe their RNS's !!!!!???? | technovator
27/9/2017 07:55 | Not news to me or most on here! And they keep telling the market but does MR M listen! And when PLUS say they are ahead they mean AHEAD! (based on previous announcements) But no doubt Mr M will have to see the numbers before reacting with a significant share price increase North of £10. Q3 will be amazing if they can repeat M6 cash generation (PAT?) (just saying!) GL - SJ | sailing john
27/9/2017 07:43 | Surprised to see this just yet but what a lovely surprise at that! :0)) | cfro
27/9/2017 07:34 | Yes, far too cheap, a bit surprised they did not just restart the share buy backs. | shanklin
27/9/2017 07:24 | Well today's news should do !!!! This is just too cheap, I was looking forward to averaging down closer to £8 too. | basem1
26/9/2017 21:26 | I guess Liberum will recommence their share buy backs at around 807p, the price paid for the last tranche on 11 August. They have a target of purchasing $30m of shares by 1 Feb 2018 and haven't bought much to date. Surely this will provide a solid backstop irrespective of any chartists? | stuffee
26/9/2017 14:20 | Charts are indicating next decent support level at 800. If it goes below that then 700p is a solid base which is where it opened on day of last update August 7th. If it wanted to be really sick we could see the gap closed from 6th August close at 654p. Currently regretting my buy in haste at 910p a few weeks back. However I will be looking to add at each of these support levels and backing up the truck if we see 654p again. | cg8riverside
26/9/2017 09:37 | Cryptomania creating job opportunities! | sailing john
26/9/2017 09:22 | Is that support at around £8.20 ?? Any Chartists out there | basem1
25/9/2017 15:02 | IG strong again today and +8% since 1Q/AGM last week I take this as good news for PLUS which is obviously consolidating currently as profit takers and new investors exchange shares IG now on a PE of 14.5 whilst PLUS just 7 (my forecast vs Mr M at 9 - clearly behind the curve again! based on 1H! but this is what creates an inefficient market and opportunity!) That gap will close to some extent perhaps from both directions GL - SJ For info current market forecast PAT per share centre £110m (my forecast £141m having done £67m in 1H) Previous share centre market forecasts for current year were £58m then £75m so well below actual performance - ie they are struggling to keep up with events! (even the 1H result!) | sailing john
22/9/2017 11:37 | A small and insignificant mention of crypto currencies during the IGG investor conference call yesterday. IGG continue not to offer crypto trading 24/7. No Satureday trading. www.iggroup.com/site | planelondon
21/9/2017 14:23 | Looks a cracker this. Joined the party today. Can see minimum 50% in short order here. | basem1
21/9/2017 12:50 | 1.5m changed hands at 869. Odey? reducing again? I like these big trades where everyone is in profit as stock close to all time highs Seller motivated to take profit and balance portfolio? But more importantly buyer sees short/mid term value at their buy price Perhaps holding announcements in next few days will reveal both parties? | sailing john
21/9/2017 11:38 | Thanks for the very helpful analysis SJ - interesting the comparison of PLUS vs IG revenues...bodes well for Q3. | mickharkins1
21/9/2017 11:22 | IG platform fell over again this week for several hours - seems to be fairly regular event now | dennislevine
21/9/2017 11:11 | IG/PLUS performance comparison! Profit after tax for PLUS likely to overtake IG in 1H 2018 imo yet market cap for PLUS remains under half (43%) that of IGG! Very similar business as Stockbroking Rev at IG insignificant. In many respects IG playing catch up eg exit from binary options, technology offering, limiting customer loss risk and cryptos.
