UPDATE ON COMMERCIALISATION OF PSD502®
SUBMISSION OF TYPE IB VARIATION FOR APPROVAL OF REDUCED FILL PRODUCT
Regent Pacific Group Limited (“Regent Pacific” or the “Company”;, and collectively with its subsidiaries, the “Group”) is pleased to announce that it has received acceptable stability data for accelerated, intermediate and long term storage conditions from the first of three Good Manufacturing Practice batches of the reduced fill can (not less than 12 dose/can) that will support the Company in making a Type IB variation submission to the European Medicines Agency (“EMA”). The documentation is on track for submission to EMA by 20 April 2016, with the aim of receiving approval of the variation by 30 June 2016, such that the Company can obtain the variation payment of €6 million from Recordati S.p.A. (“Recordati221;).
The Company will continue to work with Recordati for the successful commercial launch of PSD502®, which is currently anticipated during the latter half of 2016. Under the terms of the Company’s licence agreement with Recordati, a payment of up to €10 million in total is payable upon first commercial sales of PSD502® in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal (being a payment of €2 million in respect of each of these countries).

Jamie Gibson, the Chief Executive Officer commented: “We are pleased with the positive results of the stability data allowing for the submission of the variation of the reduced fill can and the anticipated approval will represent the final step in the successful commercialisation of PSD502® in the European Union, Russia, Commonwealth of Independent States and certain countries of North Africa. The Company continues to focus on out-licensing in other major territories and on the submission for approval by the Food and Drug Administration within the USA. We look forward to giving updates to the market on both fronts in the near term.”

I don't think it costs them £150 though. I think they're profiteering from the fact that for a lot of people they're seen as the most viable way to sort this out. They're probably calculating that people have made a good profit (on paper, compared with the closing price of PLE) and will be willing to pay up.

The only unique thing about this situation is that there are a lot of people who suddenly need their services.

Anyone thinking of opening a TD Direct account and depositing the Regent Pacific share certificate.. (took a while to sprise this information from them not shown on website) 'There is no charge to deposit share certificates from Hong Kong into your account* this did not used to be the case as there was previously a £150.00 charge to deposit the shares. *Please be aware that this does not include the recent Regent Pacific/ Plethora scheme of arrangement, due to the unique nature of this corporate action TD has taken the business decision to retain this charge, the reason for this is TD will be charged to deposit and reregister the shares and as such we will be charging for this line of stock.'

Plus, pretty much confirms that the stability test is a slam dunk - the cannister issue was fixed before submision which makes perfect sense.

On the back of that, £6 milestone from Recordati and two further licensing deals so should see share price back around the +HK $0.16 level and looking good
