With the money that is clearly dropping onto to their balance sheet from profits I would think they are able to do both in some way.

Hope they don't excercise that option not a fan of using profits for that, investing makes more sense.

I would think we are not the only ones frustrated at the AGM they will approve the following:

"Resolution 7 authorises the Company, until the end of next year's AGM, to purchase in the market up to a maximum of 1,748,594 ordinary shares"

"The proposal should not be taken as an indication that the Company will purchase shares at any particular price or indeed at all, and the directors will only consider making purchases if they believe that such purchases would result in an increase in earnings per share and are in the best interests of shareholders. The authority will expire at the conclusion of the AGM in 2008 or, if earlier, 15 months from the date when the resolution is passed. It is intended to renew this authority at each AGM".

We will see.

There must be a large seller in the background as of yesterday morning all you could buy at offer was maximum 2000,half an hour later you could buy 10000 for less.Anyhow something has changed things but long term this looks very good.Hope the AGM brings something interesting!

The more I look at the the IN House purchase, the more sence it makes although having a broad client list already Hospitals,Schools,Restaurants groups like :

"Since 1994, The Restaurant Group has been working with In House, in addition to their own internal Hygiene and Safety team, to achieve high standards of food hygiene across all their restaurants. Nationwide brands include Frankie & Benny's, Caffe Uno, Chiquitos, Blubeckers and Garfunkels.

TRG Concessions division is another division that runs over 40 units, which operates in major airports, shopping centres and train terminals, such as Heathrow, Gatwick and London Bridge".

The cross selling opportunities between other group companies within PHSC are exciting for instance we know they have strong ties with Cambridge Uni and then there are the schools that PHSC do training courses for now via the council.

Exciting time ahead.

A little old but I go along with their sentiments:

The health & safety market in the UK is much misunderstood, much maligned, and quietly building itself into the leading B2B services sector in the UK.

Lets see if they have anything to add on Thursday, maybe a little news on the other companies they have been looking at to purchase.

Well done battle and Walker. Nice work! :)

Haven't looked at goodwill from previous interims, but a well deserved gain for you both.

What they reported today was for as we know the first 4 months:

This is taken from the Interim results dated 30 Sept 2006:

"It is traditionally the case that demand for the Group's services is higher in the second half of the year".

and they will also have a contribution from IN House as well.

We will see battle, it may take time but they seem to be doing very well at present.

This is of course without In House once that is beded down we could be looking at 6m+ turnover with 1m profit with 700000 cash for further purchase.

All looking very good. At this price we will get the company for nothing in 5/6 years time !!!!!!!

No need to battle they have just told us:

Good old Mr King and team they are really driving this now:

The directors of PHSC are pleased to announce that group revenues for the four months to 31 July 2007 are up 16% compared to the same period of last year at £1,668,413 (£1,441,231). This has flowed through to enable the group to produce a pre-tax profit for the four months to 31 July 2007 of
£254,906 (prior to amortisation of goodwill). This compares to £145,027 for the same period of last year and is an improvement of 76%.

They could be heading for 1m+ profit. These are very very cheap. IMO

Big I dont give a dam where they are as long as they are making money and Ive got a part of them. They are where they are !!

Everything I read suggest that they are indeed trying to build a much larger enterprize, and that takes time.

Taken from their results:

"PHSC plc is currently involved in discussions with two companies which are attractive acquisition targets, and expects to report positive progress in due course."

Well we know about one, give them a chance !!!

Tempted to add again but the lack of trades are concerning, maybe i worry to much, but things seem to be going in the right direction just wondering what annoucement it will take to push the share price north aswell.

Yes egoi I think we are below the radar of most people:

The acquisition yesterday of In House looks more and more attractive and will add more to profit than my concervative estimates in post 128.

They will be able to take cost out of the In House as they state:

"IH will enter into a strategic partnership with our RSA Environmental Health subsidiary, and will be managed from RSA's Midlands offices".

They will help spread their reach into the Midlands and further north.

I am already seeing jobs for RSA in places as far north as Cumbria which is a first.

These shares could be very very good value at these levels. IMO.

I agree with you, but it seems precious few others either agree or have heard of the company.

I am worried that when the big traders come back in the next fortnight the market has another wobble in it through Sept/Oct; PHSC is right up there on my buy list if it wobbles with it.

Nice acquisition though today. -:)
