Hope you don't think i'm following you around the b,boards but as a long term shareholder in Eaglet i tend to follow most of his picks and invest in quite a few with the vast majority ending in sucess so here i am. Anyway have not as yet invested but was very tempted when the price drifted lower than the fund raiser.Everything looks to be going well and as you say the aquistions will enhance earnings, fingers crossed. Will watch this carefully.Of topic i see RTS jumped a little yesterday with a couple of large trades anyhow good luck.

Battle.

Taken from their results dated 3.July.06 :

"The Board is confident that the benefits of recent acquisitions will begin to
be seen in 2006/07. Although the coming year is seen as a time for
consolidation, opportunities for additional suitable acquisitions will be
assessed as and when they present themselves. We will work hard to maximise
revenues and earnings from the existing trading subsidiaries and will explore
ways to accelerate the growth and profile of the Group in a logical and
consistent way".

So can we look forward to year end results in July with confidence.

This apeared to be institutional support for the share price which was sliding down through 50p.last week. This has raised it back to 52/53p. which is where the institutions came in recently. Hopefully they have put a floor under the share price at this level & mopped up any free float, pending the full year results.

A series of positive announcements from a well managed profitable business. The only publicly quoted company, I believe, in a very fragmented sector with high margins and low overheads. Plenty of growth ahead as they cherry pick rival companies and partnerships, with their ample cash.
Tiny Market Cap, at around £6 million, despite this, institutonal investors have recently taken large stakes.
I'm trying to think of negatives.
The only one that comes to mind is its poor share price after almost two years on AIM.
Patience, tuck away for a year or two more, then see many investors falling over themselves to buy at higher price's.

Institutional support providing an extra £1m. equity has to be encouraging. They would not have done this without seeing up to date trading figures. More acquisitions using the new equity are promised in the accompanying statement. The company`s balance sheet must look very strong.

management have managed to place nearly 20% of the company without hitting the share price.

Looks like there are plenty of people out there who are interested in the PHSC story.

let's hope the results to the end of this month prove them right.

An interesting move.

It appears we will have to wait for the full year results, ending 31st March. Perhaps we will get an update shortly thereafter, to show how all those acquisitions have been performing.

Most lifeless company on AIM?

I like the company and think the shares are good value, but it seems no-one else does!

Any third quarter trading statement is overdue. I wonder what those new brokers are up to?

Probably, however I did originally buy these on OFEX at low 40's and sold above 70 so the couple of grand loss on these has more than been covered. Still thinking about where best to invest the money.

Even I have now lost patience with this. A good well run company. But no excitement to tempt investors so will be looking for better returns elsewhere. I sold 25K back to the company yesterday at the mid price.

The share price may have suffered by reason of the company being ramped too high early on. Christopher Spink in the Dec.`05 Growth Investor suggested pre tax profits exceeding £1m. in the current year of 05/06 [they were £411,619] whilst Monisha Varadan in July `05 had predicted sales of over £4m. in 05/06 [they were £3.7m.] Just where did they get these figures from?

Perhaps trading is only just now catching up!

Last year the company very sensibly issued a third quarter trading statement on 24th Jan. If it does the same this year, we should be able to get a good picture of the full year`s trading.

With the directors + one institution holding 80% of the shares, there is only a small free float but if they want to raise more equity, they will need to get the share price up from its present level, altho` they are carrying a reasonable amount of cash for further acquisitions.

Cracking interims announced today:

Turnover up 40%
Profit up +20%
EPS up + 30%

Sale of loss making HCS purchase of profitable Envex (surely some synergies to make more profitable)

Full order book

Expected significant improvements to profitability to second half.

Looks good to me, but it appears I am the only one.

I agree. I hope you are going to the AGM next week [12th Sept] so you can ask the Board direct for an explanation.

Long term supporter of this company but I'd be grateful if anyone could explain the point of this - particularly given that the company can hardly ever have been accused of being cash rich and is supposedly looking for acquisitions. The comment hints at an attempt to support the share price - 8k worth of stock, yeah right!

'The Company has noted the recent decline in its share price as a result of a number of small sales and yesterday elected to use its discretionary authority to purchase 15,000 ordinary shares on the market at a price of 54.2pence per ordinary share. This total of 15,000 shares will be held in treasury until further notice.'

perhaps the IC got it right (for once!) last week - I know Microsft BP and Vodafone all do it, but I have never liked it and this is almost the first comment I think i have ever seen echoing my view:

"Most sensible investors would support the notion that the directors of a company
should return surplus cash to shareholders if they cannot find good investment
opportunities for it. But the modern fashion to use it to make open-market share
purchases must surely be deplored...."

Amen.

Again PHSC appears to be below most people's radar. Small improvement in the online limits recently. With no fundamental reason behind the share price weakness they should recover nicely given a change in sentiment and time. Only takes 1 tip on web / mag to get things going in these fairly illiquid securities.
Also don't forget the .75p div is now ex - that's a nice cheque for over gbp 216 on it's way to me.

Another positive trading statement today. Some chunky contract wins and RECORD FORWARD ORDER BOOK. Also looking for earnings enhancing acquisitions.
This really is a fragmented sector. PHSC look like they are mopping up and in a couple of years time will be a dominant player. Still great value at these levels.
