05/2/2014 12:31 | They may well be going on the market cap, which is about 0.6 of revenue. That's a 'priced to go bust' value imo. As part of a larger group, where overheads and costs would be shared, that 8mln+ turnover could quite easily be earnings enhancing. I wouldn't be surprised if a predator pounces, especially if the next update shows revenue is starting to grow more. | yump
05/2/2014 10:01 | That's a huge disparity between the present price and their own valuation. I would be interested to read fin cap full coverage. I don't suppose anyone has it to hand do they please ? | envirovision
05/2/2014 08:05 | Photonstar Led Group PLC (LON:PSL) had its corporate rating reissued by analysts at FinnCap. The firm currently has a GBX 11 ($0.18) price target on the stock. would be nice, shame to see we did not hold on to the earlier gains.... | chrisdgb
31/1/2014 14:10 | All good stuff KLF. I'm currently quoted 4.225p 4.75p. My purchase made yesterday morning still not showing up...weird. | inside2
31/1/2014 11:27 | That is before this new product they are due to launch. I must admit i've signed up for information on it because I like the sound of being able to control my lights remotely from my phone. | theklf
31/1/2014 11:24 | The ADVFN monitor is incorrect crisdgb, do a dummy trade and see, the spread is currently .5p. I bought in after reading yesterdays RNS, with no cash required and a good second half which is reflecting the UK economy and with the economy expected to grow over 3% this year I recon if PSL mirror that growth it should reflect well on the share price. Certainly worth a punt. | inside2
31/1/2014 09:11 | 24k on the bid only 6k on the offer....going up I think, although it would be nice to have a more attractive spread.... | chrisdgb
30/1/2014 17:15 | Yump... whatever other posters think of your contributions, you always come over as someone with common sense and never gets carried away with the hysteria. Cheers, hoping we have finally found the bottom, at least the institutions are piling into DIA, LEDs still have a future it's just which companies will survive. | beeezzz
30/1/2014 15:49 | I guess that's the nature of a bottom, if it is indeed a bottom. Bounce along it for a while with a few folks cashing in on any rise and then see if there's a small permanent rise coming out the other side, which would be more telling | yump
30/1/2014 15:31 | Soon as share price rises it attracts those who've been waiting to cash in, any profit this year should support the share price | beeezzz
30/1/2014 11:44 | TMT: PHOTONSTAR LED (LON:PSL) FY PRE-CLOSE: CONSIDERABLY BETTER H2 Positive adj. EBITDA and operating cash flow in H2 following stronger trading and a considerable improvement on H1. FY revenue increase 8% to £9.4m and gross profit by 6% to £3.6m. H2 revenue increased 18% over H1. FY adj. EBITDA loss improved by £0.2m to £0.1m and net debt remained flat over H1 at £0.3m against a facility of £1.3m. Development of Halcyon home circadian lighting product range (retrofit lamp) is nearing completion and commercial launch is set for this year. IP portfolio comprises 15 patent families covering advanced LED chip design, optimal low cost packaging, advanced colour mixing and control. New IP will be filed before the Halcyon launch. FY results expected in March. NORTHLAND UK VIEW: Substantial improvement in performance in H2 over H1 although PhotonStar fell just short of management's goal of breakeven for the FY. Interest in LED lighting remains buoyant as organisations and consumers look to take advantage of its numerous functional and energy saving advantages. That said, the market is congested and smaller players must work hard to ensure their products gain recognition. | inside2
30/1/2014 11:42 | Not my trade mine was not printed. Imo so long as they can manage cash flow then this could turn out to be quite a nice little investment over the next few years | envirovision
30/1/2014 11:34 | Well reasonably good news, market place is huge, but there are a lot of players now, Dia was wakeup call for me. Apologise if already posted. (Cut & Paste) www.proactiveinvesto | beeezzz
30/1/2014 11:02 | envirovision Your 18K - As supected large hidden seller still there. | pugugly
30/1/2014 10:00 | I managed to pick some up at 4.5p ok | envirovision
30/1/2014 09:56 | So much for me getting an order filled at 5p! Looks like (yet) more patience required... | gleach23
30/1/2014 09:37 | Midmarsh30:> teh market seems as equally uncertain - One of the widest spreads ever for PSL. Could be a big seller on the side but too big for MM's to handle so that is why bid has been lowered to only 4p -v- 5p offer (was 5.75p earlier) | pugugly
30/1/2014 09:20 | Hi Withers, I'm here. Well this looks a bit better. By and large PSL has achieved its forecasts at the half year stage. I have to say that the future is LED hence my original interest and if the Co can get through this stage with new products well marketed the future could be bright. I think the share price should take some heart from this update, but there are some uncertainties which may not allow it to motor ahead like some investors would wish. The pre-tax loss will also take account of depreciation and interest cost. The latter will be much higher than 2012 because of the positive cash position in the previous year. Also we have no information on the exceptional item. So these question marks will hold back a wholesale re-evaluation of the share price, as will concerns about poor marketing noted on other boards. The new product in 2014 will need an attractive launch which will use some cash in order to get it away well. That will put pressure on cashflow and interest cost, but that is what growth is all about. There may be another cash call and investors will need to evaluate the prospects with the product and financial information given at that time. May be an attractive proposition. We'll see. | midmarsh30
30/1/2014 08:52 | You never know, perhaps they're running the business with the ambition of being a big player in the market, so they've been investing a lot. Usual thing: IP, product development, exhibitions, marketing, travelling, supply chain, materials, machinery... I've not been invested here long and haven't looked back all the detailed history, but you can start selling cheap clothing online with a very small initial outlay and make a profit early on. Or you can try to get contracts with housebuilders for clever lighting, where you need to be able to guarantee several years supply, or you won't get the contract. | yump
30/1/2014 08:37 | Increased t/o yet again and STILL managed to make a loss! I suppose we should be impressed the loss was "only" £100K this time?! | mrphil
30/1/2014 08:33 | Wheres midmarsh? | witheco
30/1/2014 08:27 | Good update, cash to develop, euro lighting market worth 1-3billion | mega_trader
30/1/2014 08:26 | I put an order on for 50k as a top up and it got filled at 5p...great to finally get some positive news here | gleach23
30/1/2014 08:18 | Looks like 10K sent it up first thing - that's about £450 worth ! Where's an overhang when you need it ;-) | yump |
