It has been a rough ride but I still think the recovery and growth potential is well intact..........

Another show was on today and again tomorrow I noticed.

halcyonPROTM will be exhibiting at the Internet of Things (IoT) Forum 2015 in Cambridge from the 11th to the 12th March.

halcyonPROTM will have a tabletop exhibition stand and has also been selected as a product in the 'Ones to Watch' feature which is showcasing the brightest emerging prospects in the IoT space this year. During the feature, halcyonPROTM will be presented with a 5 minute on stage speaking slot.

The IoT Forum brings together key people in European IoT - entrepreneurs, corporates and investors. The Forum focuses on realising the commercial potential of IoT and how it impacts business models. The event has been voted as one of the top three IoT events in the world.

Not much life in this but a guess the trend will be upwards towards results as it seems over sold. In addition directors were buying at 3p+ not long ago.

I assume your in at this time then. I have followed it for some time but will be happy to buy in at higher levels once there is more positive news, when it comes it could go to at least ten times its current level as the amount of stock in general hands is pretty limited.

I expect there is a large buy yet to show as I noticed that the jump came much later than the last buy from 2.75 to 3.00 without any trade showing. Maybe new faces coming in to be announced very soon?

Updated after close:

It seems like the MM are just very short of stock.

not been in these for a year or so...back in for a fun dabble today

nice to see a little buying at gradually increased offer prices...an indication of what little it takes to get them moving

They may have a great show and the stand looks great, so hopefully large orders will be taken and the share price will start to recover.

Take a look on the company website chrisgb:

Ecobuild 2015 stand build is underway

With Ecobuild just one day away, our stand build got underway at the weekend and halcyonPro™ was unleashed on the ExCeL Centre in London.

The preparations for Ecobuild 2015 have started and the PhotonStar LED stand is bright and full of colour thanks to halcyonPro™. A combination of Tapelight, CeilingStar, Cryos and LuxLoop fittings are brightening up the ExCeL Centre as you can see in the photo below.

Ecobuild opens its doors tomorrow (3rd March 2015) and you can find PhotonStar on stand S5016 in the Lighting Pavilion. Register for a ticket here. Ecobuild runs from the 3rd to the 5th of March at the ExCel Centre in London.

Turnaround Plays of 2015

PhotonStar LED Group (PSL)

3.38p

The one thing that has been consistent about PhotonStar LED (PSL) in recent years is that it disappoints investors. Late last year the intelligent LED lighting systems developer admitted that 2014 figures would be lower than expected and losses will continue, however, new products have been launched and they should make a more significant contribution in 2015.

The HalcyonPro intelligent wireless lighting system was formally launched last November. The productrange includes intelligent lighting products for schools, offices, hotels, hospitals and homes. The systems use sensors to deliver the right level of light at the correct time using wireless or the cloud.

Older products, such as light engines, have been the problem. They are much lower margin and those margins are coming under even more pressure. No more development resources will be applied in this area. There should still be a small amount of net cash and PhotonStar argues that it has enough debt facilities for its current needs. However, there is a large risk that more cash will need to be raised at some point.

There are no forecasts following the most recent warning from the company. The company should get a significant boost from the sale of higher margin HalcyonPro products so even if revenues do not improve there could still be an improvement in profitability. PhotonStar appears to have developed a good product that gives investors' exposure to growth in the Internet of Things but the timing of sales is difficult to predict.

I agree with PP's comment on the management. I gave up on them when they tried (and failed) to use KickStarter like @LIFX had done.

I'm sure LED is the future - not sure about Photonstar

Interesting comments, thank-you, I must admit the CEO had such a great CV that I was expecting good things, I am probably on my last 'kind' phase...

Agree paulypilot, that's not the way to treat any visitors, let alone the owners of the business!

I see in the announcement they stated "..revenue and adjusted EBITDA were in line with the trading update of 11 November 2014." I presume that's referring to the earlier statement "..bracing itself for a dip in revenue.."?

Regarding IKA, they seem to be doing things right, how did your visit go?

Myself and a group of investors were in the area last year, visiting Ilika, and I made enquiries to see if we could also call in to see Photonstar, since it was nearby.

What should have happened, is that the Directors should have welcomed our visit, and proudly shown us around their facilities. What actually happened is that they made every excuse in the book to refuse to meet us. I got quite firm, and indicated that a number of us held shares in the company, but excuses were made, and it was clear we were not welcome. So we sold our shares.

It's not been a surprise to see the share price since halve.

Good companies welcome shareholders. Bad companies push them away.

I wish this company well, but it probably needs new management.

Paul.
