07/6/2022 19:55 | qnq - there won't be a takeover, as such. POG's assets (the mines, the processing plants etc.) will be seized since they were security for the defaulted debts. The shareholders (and most likely the junior bondholders as well) will get nothing. Welcome to Russia. There's nothing new about this kind of machination - this is just how Russian "biznez" is done. | tigerbythetail
07/6/2022 18:28 | check hdings and filings, if this is a forced takeover then the acquirer will still have to buy the last remaining shares, they cant force you to sell but they may rattle the boat and collect any shares sold on the cheap. it will be 5 pence a share. | qnq
07/6/2022 18:07 | More complete nonsense predictions of crazy takeover prices. What's not to understand in todays RNS - they are looking to sell off anything and everything they can to be able to pay the 500m as they can not refinance. As for shareholders how much clearer does it have to be - it is highly unlikely that any return will be secured for shareholders as a result of that process given the level of the Company's indebtedness.Rinse and repeat the gullible time and time again. | supercity
07/6/2022 16:59 | I think the party is over and there will be zilch for he private investors. Get out while you can would be my advice but dyor and make your own valued decision. Carnage in the morning. | smraynot
07/6/2022 16:45 | The chinese are very very interested! | fission453
07/6/2022 16:44 | No it will be 8-10p | fission453
07/6/2022 16:42 | The company is over 90 percent down ... i totally understand Russia believe me !They are hoovering up the shares off more than likely western investors at bankruptcy cost ! A bid will come for the lot .... imo it will be approximately 2 pence !! At 2 pence it's been stolen off western share holders and the like | amaretto1
07/6/2022 16:32 | Tiger...not true what you've written! I have 35 years experience! The Russians I grant you don't play by the rules but are good at game management! They will honour their part of the loot! Expect 8-10p! | fission453
07/6/2022 16:28 | Amaretto - 20 years business experience in Russia (at a serious level) and fluent Russian. Yes, I know a great deal more about how business is done in Russia than you. Including much that I prefer not to share here. You really don't get that there is no rule of law in Russia, do you? It's a corrupt criminal state. The chosen buyer here (who will almost certainly have high political connections) will NOT be paying fair value for the company, but a nominal amount. The casino is rigged! If it's any consolation, most of the junior bondholders here won't get much from this as well. It REALLY doesn't matter at all how much the company is objectively worth in this kind of power play. The strong will take what they can and the weak will suffer what they must, as an old historian once wrote. | tigerbythetail
07/6/2022 16:07 | This company is worth double this figure on any metric ...Is that simple enough for you ? | amaretto1
07/6/2022 16:06 | Basically western investors have just been fleeced....The buyers for the last couple of weeks will be Russian or a friendly state to Russia....The ones owning the most shares will have the most say on price ....It's already on its knees ....The equity is only 50 million....The debt if all cleared is approx 500 million ..... half price !! | amaretto1
07/6/2022 16:01 | U make out that your close to the action ... and nearly sat on the board ... u know as much as any one else ....So get off your high horse ! U have no idea what's being agreed sale wise ....Odviously it's higher than current share price THATS WHY THEY ARE HOOVERING ALL THE SHARES UP !! is that simple enough for you ? | amaretto1
07/6/2022 15:57 | But on the flipside the west has seized billions of pounds worth of Russian assets. Only yesterday the US impounded two of Roman Abramovich's jets valued at $410 million. | pwhite73
07/6/2022 15:48 | This kind of takeover through a mixture of force and legal manipulation has been standard business practice for years in Russia. The tactic even has its own name - "raiderstvo". There is probably a political figure behind these machinations who will stand to benefit from this asset grab. Given that the BoD are saying what they are saying, how on earth can PIs expect to defend themselves from this? POG is going to be sold for less than the total value of its debts, so there will be nothing for shareholders. Isn't it that simple? | tigerbythetail
07/6/2022 15:48 | For the subsidaries.. "...it is highly unlikely that any return will be secured for shareholders" For the main business..will be sold for around 5-6p! | fission453
07/6/2022 15:39 | "...it is highly unlikely that any return will be secured for shareholders" SELL! | megsta
07/6/2022 14:45 | ....and don't forget the BOD who are in on it up to their eyeballs. | pwhite73
07/6/2022 14:43 | Said it months ago .....What ever low ball bid they can get away with ..... thought 4 to 5 Looks like 2 pence to me !! They keep the ones in the know happy .... | amaretto1
07/6/2022 14:40 | Yep. lights off and new owner GAZ, laughing all the way to the Prom | sandeep67
07/6/2022 14:03 | Agree with the bottom bit ! | amaretto1
07/6/2022 13:52 | littleblew180 - Yes they are producing gold and if not selling it then its piling up to be given to GPB when POG is no longer affected by the Russian sanctions. This will only happen when POG is no longer a UK company meaning the UK listed shares have no value. The reality is POG are not really in financial trouble they are only in administrative trouble caused by the sanctions. However the situation provides an opening for others to steal what rightfully belongs to the shareholders. | pwhite73
07/6/2022 13:46 | As per RNS's though aren't they still producing gold? So sure that is just stockpiling up and would have to be included in any negotiations with regards paying off any debts | littleblew180
07/6/2022 13:42 | MM don't know what to do :-))))) | amaretto1
07/6/2022 13:42 | supercity - "How has this not dropped 90 percent on that RNS" That's because PIs not only have sell stops they also have buy stops. So if I left an order with my broker to buy at 1.40p that's where the price will drip to. The offer won't drop to 1p because they need to demonstrate I got a fair price for my shares. However if I hold long enough it will drop to 1p as the company has warned there is no value in the shares at the moment and they will not be publishing their accounts if circumstances do not change which will lead to an automatic suspension. | pwhite73 |
