Ok I'll take it back. This may be institutional buys imo now. Things are odd though why did it not rise before when volume was in millions. AIM is weird

Yes PTR has been a an unlucky share, and it's unfortunate that just when they finally get the project firing on all cylinders, and we should be pocketing the profits, PoO collapses out of nowhere. a nasty thought is we get production up to 10,000bopd in two or three years and we still make no money due the the price of oil.

The trades over the last week look to be a mixture of PI and II to me. I say this because when all the share-building was going on in the recent past the share price hardly budged. Now it's up.

Granto, yep. I think Steel is right. We may be looking at around AGM time for an RNS. I was wondering if the L-10 and T-503 updates would be big enough to warrant an RNS in the interim. Hoping more than wondering! Anyway, things are fairly on schedule so no worries for now.

Yes five times daily for the last week as this up until last month didn't have a single trade a day.So you are saying retail investors have just decided to buy in over the last weeks in block trades. The wildly large amounts maybe just not available as they was.So IMO we will see a further holding rns within a month or so.

Kev,it's not PTR's style to micro manage RNS releases. The well should settle down and add bopd, I guess it was pulsing a little at first.

I don't believe these are retail trades they round figures 200k ect and are happening day after day since late last week.So natlatas days of getting large chunks in the millions maybe over as this rise seems very orderly and orchestrated for an illiquid stock.

AGM 18 September, so I would guess the next ops update shortly before, which would be c.8 weeks from the last.

Sean, it was a mere pondering. If I really wanted to know when the next RNS is due, I would know.

I'd be happy with an RNS later this month or next month but the L-10 results will be known very shortly. Also, have a look at this paragraph from the last RNS:

"The T-503 well at Tungolskoye has been successfully completed with a horizontal segment of 1,000 metres in the Upper Jurassic J1-1 horizon at a depth of approximately 2,502 metres TVD. Of the 1,000 metres horizontal segment it is estimated that approximately 663 metres is in effective net pay. The well was brought online on 14 July and the average flow rate over the last five days has been over 550 bopd (750 bfpd). The well is still cleaning up the long horizontal section and the water cut is now below 20% and continuing to reduce. The well will be allowed to continue in this mode for a period to monitor its performance. Higher oil rates should be possible once the well has fully cleaned up completion and drilling fluids. The latest test rate, on 21 July 2015, was 675 bopd (755 bfpd at 10% water cut)."

"for a period" ? Whatever way you take that term it does look like knowledge is/has been gained since the last RNS. I was pondering whether that knowledge is worthy of an RNS.

KevLet's get real there will be no RNS from PTR as straightforward as that you outlined.Anyway it is now August the peak holiday time.I do hope we get an update late this month with a decent rise in output and some guidance on pricing for this produced oil in the home marketVGLTA

I wonder too if the L-10 results and T-503 well updated results will be worthy of an RNS. In the 22nd July RNS DF said this:

"“We are very pleased with the T-503 well result, which clearly demonstrates the potential for materially enhanced flow rates to be achieved from horizontal production wells. While the well is still cleaning up initial indications of its productivity are very good. We are also looking forward to the L-10 horizontal well result in the coming weeks and a production increase from this well."

Past 5p will be the real signal...atm it's a spike up and could be back down soon of not backed by volume.

Well Tens if it gets to 5p the share price will be getting close to the last equity sale back in 2012.The last share options issued at 6.5p will have to be left in the drawer for a while more I fear.Still no buys by our old BOD!VGLTA

Hi Crudde, I don't know many long term holders of PTR that don't get frustrated at times, or a lot. As for Kev4, his 'claim' is genuine. He is a long term holder here, certainly a few years I recall. he is genuine too…. on a different note,,,damn PoO.

6-7p is the short term target. Few chunky trades today looks like retailers though.
