Whoppy, the market cap is WAY undervalued for the assets. We can substantially improve production at low cost. Don't underestimate the value of the recent license acquisition. I honestly see us getting to 10p+ within this calendar year.

I think historical flow rates have been low and EOR unreliable. Add to that the collapse in oil price, and PTR have suffered. Still not sure about the assets and the reliability for oil production with these wells, which are mostly old and not exactly high producers. Key is to build sustainable production. Increases with fracking is a good thing but how long these wells last at higher rates is unknown. Waterflooding is a bit old school and produces mixed results. Have to say the Mcap is about right for now for the assets. The main driver is the oil price which goes to the bottom line, hence the increase in share price of late. If they can become self sufficient through revenue and increase production organically, that would be a real plus and must be executed or, there will be more placing CLN etc. Certainly has had a good rise since the beginning of the year and some nice profit for those in at the lows. Will it go higher? Don't know.

John, I've spent most of the last 7 years comparing PTR with other oilies and I simply could not understand why its share price was lower than others which had far more debt, less production and multiples the number of shares in issue. It just made no sense even if you only count bopd and leave out the field projections for oil. I think the last CEO was far too cautious, and he did not seem to understand the importance of regular communication. We went from looking to sell some of our assets to increasing one from 50% to 90%!! That was ballsy and look at the results!

Excellent stuff KJ. Personally I'm expecting a much more regular news flow with so much on, and it's all looking very positive. This should remove the requirement for the blatant ramping that frequently happens on these boards for shares with no substance. I honestly believe the market is sleeping on PTR and that it will not remain a £20m market cap company for long.

I genuinely thought this would drop back from 2.6p to about 2p while we awaited news but I'm pleasantly surprised to see it rise yet again. I'm very conservative and despise ramping but with more news to come this could go much higher. I suppose with all year production it's as guaranteed an share price increase as one can get in oilies. P.S. I'm back in black!

Yep, from 27-Jan: License 67 At Licence 67 operations are also progressing well. Construction of the road from the C-4 well to the all-season road at the C-3 well location has commenced and is already approximately 30% complete. This road is on schedule for completion by the end of the current winter season and will allow year-round production from the field, thereby providing an additional revenue stream for the Company. Work on putting the C-4 well on year round production is also progressing with production planned to commence no later than the second week of February. Initially the production will be exported utilising a winter road which is already in place. In addition to the operations on the Cheremshanskoye field, we are also preparing to mobilise a work over rig to the Ledovoye L-2a well to commence work over of the well during February. The aim is to establish commercial oil flows from the Upper Jurassic J1-1 horizon. This focus on the Jurassic offers the potential to deliver additional production at relatively low investment levels. On success we will produce the well for an initial three month period at the same time as working on gaining state reserves approval for the field which on success will enable the well to be on year round production from the end of this year.

Buying in at this level looks like a no brainer to me. Lots of opportunity to increase production at low cost and with a higher share in the license than we had previously.

The rising at Petroneft continues with the ASK at showcasing @ 2.70p and 2.698p being paid, live as I type. Well done, to all holders from lowly days. f

Worth listening back to the interview with David Sturt speaking about the fracking, the license and even referring to keeping cards close to chest about the former ("we don't want to wait until after production is up") until after the license is completed. From around 5m into it. Onwards and upwards! https://vimeo.com/505572669

Delighted to see this finally moving in the right direction but it really does make you think WTF were the previous management doing. Hopefully Mr McBain carries on the good progress so far.

This is excellent news today and building off the extra 40% license acquisition and appointment of Alastair McBain as Non Executive Chairman. With negotiations out of the way it's full steam ahead now to demonstrate the value of the license. The successful fracking is a great first step towards this. For the first time in a decade the company is finally showing real signs of progress.

These fracks are pretty low cost and thus high ROI when they work like this.

With current debt reaching imo peak, this is prob PTRs last chance of making it a success. It's literally been paying director salaries and topping up pensions since it creation. Good luck all...6p is its peak imo based on current debt, bopd expectations and the rats natlata still involved 4p first target gla

On a diluted basis 40mn gbp m cap is 5p. This is less than the cost of the processing facility and infrastructure. This has remained in the desert for years now being looked at with fresh eyes. Sensible management and better perspective in 67 could easily see it producing 5k bbls in a couple of years.
