ravin - the eoy target was 3,500 - 4,000 gross. 2 more T-503 lookalikes and we are thereabouts with one currently drilling...

I find it quite funny that surely they did some form of appraisal report of various drilling contractor/rigs etc?! Can anyone explain how PTR on track to meet 'doubling production' ? +40% in BOPD so far in 8 months 2015 +60% required in BOPD by year end 2015 Are there enough wells to get production to C4000 BOPD by year end 2015, considering the H-well is yield 500bopd, I was under the impression that that was going to rise once in full production...also was the consensus these H-well will yield 500-100-bopd so this is on the lower end of forecast. Assuming 500 is now the now for these h-well (with potential for upside of course) that means ptr needs to drill 3 h-well to end of December all yielding 500 minimum and other natural declines tallying to 4000 BOPD... IMO, it needs to catch up to be on 'track', alot of ifs and but between now and end of year...I'm still waiting for the seismic results!

It's an interesting RNS. The bad news Tungolskoye has a smaller reservoir than they thought. Blow. The good news. The L-10 Horizontal is producing sweetly with a proving that H wells in general are dramatically better even in poor Bopd regions. The Funny News The Americans got paid millions for drilling T-5, The Russians watched them like hawks, and said, ah well take it from here. Lets do the next one ourselves, I guess Oil India's expertise may have played a part in this too. This move surprised me. Half the price I betcha. The future I must admit the price of oil is a real concern. The Silence We were not told the current PoO being achieved or if we are even expecting profits for the end of the year. We have no update on License 67 3D seismic. Not much in the coming months pipeline to lift us to end of year targets. But…. and this is a bid sad, I was actually grateful to get the RNS.

I'm happy. The production is heading in the right direction and is now higher than it has been all year. No surprised by the subdued share price response and I think this will drift back to mid 4s until the next update unless some large trades come in from Natlata et al. More than happy to sit tight. Let's see where we are by year end.

The share price and volume is fairly subdued after this latest update.Davy will chime in and Malcy may give us a few words but any uplift in the share price will only come with Natlata making a move.VGLTA - ' patience really is a virtue PTR holders badly need'

Sean, it seems my pondering last week about an RNS pre-AGM wasn't as delusional as some people suggested. *L*. Nice to get an RNS with an update on L-10 and T. Would have been happy to wait until AGM RNS but felt these developments merited a separate RNS. It's yet another solid RNS too. And I agree with Sean when he said it's pretty straight to the point. Quite impressive stuff this year from PTR. Long may it continue.

yes I agree sean , even the way natlata are buying is telling the story and would never buy on a day like today or into anykind of spike up , they do not want stimulate the share price in any shape or form. buying on down days or little volume days , late reported trades ect. now if they were here for the profit with the share price alone , they would be buying into strength to give us larger volumes. matter of time , before year end IMO

Panmure Gordon... The L-10 well has had a good result and shows the benefits of horizontal drilling which can be achieved with domestically sourced equipment. The geology at Tungolskoye has arguably proved more challenging than expected, however, Petroneft expects reserve upgrades at Arbuzovskoye and Sibkrayevskoye to more than offset any reduction at Tungolskoye. Production, to which Petroneft is highly leveraged above the 2kbd mark, is up over 40% this year at 2,600 and Petroneft looks on track to make the lower end of 3.5-4.0kbd guidance, assuming the remaining wells in the drilling programme come in on prognosis.

Must say BOD have come out with a clear RNS showing slow and steady progress. The news on the short Lin horizontal well being drilled fairly quickly with a 'cheaper' rig bodes well for a ramp up in output there.Still think Natlata will make a move in the near futureVGLTA

40% growth in 8 months.60% growth still to go in 4 months.A lot still to deliver by the Bod or will miss the suggested 'doubling of production.Reserve update? Not even a mention.

IMO natlata and GI will offer PTR on a plate to oil India . Makes sense if they believe it could do 20k bopd .Why not buy PTR for less than they paid for their 50 % share originally.I believe we may have a spike up in the share price ( non news related ) as to try and shake some stock as it must be getting thin on the ground.Trying to work out free float 35% or less maybe

RavI am surprised at your 80-90$ POO prediction. The market is gauging a lot less for the coming year.It would be good to see our own dear old BOD update us with some news on the average sale price alongside average production numbers.Let's hope PD has the old sliderule out to get the numbers ready for us poor long-term holders.VGLTA

Here's an article from the other day about Gazprom's results. It states that their profits were boosted by the weak rouble: hTTp://www.bbc.com/news/business-33849158

Crudde one, a 500k at 4.7p doesn't make their average price at the high lollSecondly, you state dilema. Ptr is in its best position its been in years, experienced backer, debt free! Unfortunately low oil prices are here to stay for some time. Yet we have been told the poor Russian currency is actually hedging the loss in price. Though what is the local Russian oil price? No one even knows here. I want production growth and reserve upgrade, oil price unlikely to jump to 80-90 anytime soon.

I'm not worried about news as I trust oil India. I was not concerned before but this now certainly is more buying. Natlata or the other party prob only need c. 60m to get close 30%. And we have seen a chunk of that traded since last holding update. When it comes to it I still can't see oil India allowing directors to change hence no power for natlata or general overseas. Bod have no power to do anything but buy themselves and company itself is not in a position to buy back itself...market is free to buy etc. but now it's getting to a state that these shares are being mopped up cheaply, not a problem if the share price is rising. I'd rather see oil India and current bod stay as it is until end of year to see if they meet their own target.

Well it looks like we may have to wait until the AGM for any real news.I wonder if Natlata and friends will bother attending.Let's hope that we get some clear and concise news this time.VGLTA

Anyone been in talk with bod recently...these large trades are obviously stake building...will they buy any as a defence?! Natlanta won't be far from the 30% region any time soon now...

Patience, as I always say..."Oil have done their homework to see potential" imo, extract oil is the aim of the game...4000 bopd will be satisfactory simple...reserve upgrade is needed to push this sp!

Hey guys.... Are we expecting too much too soon..!!! I mean is it remotely possible regardless of even positive rns that the share price might rise significantly when one considers the state of the oil market at the moment...???
