Noted re (yawn) discount:

"We have not given up on addressing the wide discount at which our shares trade. We are continuing to consider potential transformational transactions that would enable PSH to become part of a U.S. listed company (which would not necessarily require that we give up our UK and Amsterdam listings and which would greatly increase the universe of investors who can own PSH). We are unable at this stage to estimate the probability or timing of achieving such a transaction, but we are considering a number of potential ideas at this time."

Does anyone know about the performance fees on PSH? Is it 16% of all gains above the previous watermark? Seems quite a lot. Or is there a hurdle rate which the managers have to surpass to earn their "performance" fees?

I suspect that too much Tweeting is bad PR for his firm. Better to keep a low profile.

Bill thrives on volatility and was tweeting about the importance of saving SVB deposits so I wonder if he did anything clever

The share price has collapsed while the futures and underlying holdings are up today. This makes no sense.

I just assumed it would have unquoted investments - sorry about that . chartwise it is looking interesting and it is in an uptrend and approaching resistance level on weekly chart . A bit illiquid for trading but can sometimes get between the spread with a RSP price

I'm not aware of unquoted investments though Ackman does invest personally in them. As Donald says he does have several hedges in play.

PSH is a Guernsey company so no stamp duty. I wasn't aware they had any unquoted investments though they do often have hedges in play. Are you looking at the right company?A bit concerning that Bill is tweeting about aliens...

still a massive discount to NAV which I am always suspicious of and must be the unquoted investments which is guesswork when valuing I suppose . Not a bad looking chart but probably not ready to breakout as yet

never realised that PSH if free of stamp duty when buying . Might be a good day or overnight trade at times because of that and with £3 brokerage . All aussie stocks have no SD for many years I think

There's the investor presentation on the company website now. From an attendee on twitter......My most important takeaway was @BillAckman saying he has worked extensively on finding ways to migrate $PSH to the US. Re the Invst Co Act, he needs to find a large US target. $HHC is too small for this but could be part of the solution.Energy hedges brought 0.5% of NAV this year. Bill believes energy prices could go much higher and retains hedges. Believes the 30Y yield is too low and is playing this via derivatives

They do say there's no such thing as bad publicity I guess. There are #metoo lawsuits flying around regarding the person he's just given 25mil to, so he'll have plenty to talk about on Twitter if that's the plan.

Tbh when he only has 8-10 holdings and a whole team managing them he must have a lot of time on his hands. Perhaps he is thinking of getting a US listing and promoting it endlessly through his social media presence?

There have been a few references recently to trying to get a U.S. listing, perhaps by reversing into Howard Hughes or similar. I think Bills long term plan is for PSH to become a mini Berkshire Hathaway. If he could get that US listing the discount could close very quickly

Perhaps the discount will narrow with the daily mail plug ! 10£ to £30 since I started the thread in 5 years
