Close to the high water line in Feb.

Is this rise the long expected re-rating or is it all Californian hoping? Do we buy a few more in the hope that it will hit a new high (440p)or do we sit tight? Decisions, decisions. My personal inclination is to buy because even if this rise fizzles out the general direction is upwards.

Jarega....I wouldn't put your deposit down on that Island JUST yet. According to onlinepokerreport:Amendments to California online poker bill raise hopes in some corners that passage is possible, but opponents appear committed to blocking the billIF the bill secures the necessary 2/3 majority in the Assembly then it goes to the Senate. Deadline for getting it through both Houses is 31August.....fingers crossed but it's looking tight!

Chart has moved into a higher channel since the 3rd of August. I.E. Higher lows and higher highs. The RSI is sitting at 66.58 today so it is not over bought. It bodes well if the price closes above £4.27 this evening for the trend to continue.
I wonder whether we will have a short sqeeze soon.

bought back in at 371p with a trailing stop loss so am well pleased as have 50% of funds in these. booked my next holiday 4 weeks this time.

Phew!! I thought I'd missed something then.There seems to be a little more confidence on the bill being passed following the amendment yesterday which is good news. I completely agree, it's not the end of the World if it doesn't pass, the update evidences we have no dependencies on the bill at all but wouldn't that just be the Cherry on top of the cake if it was passed!I'd be buying my island if it passes!!

A long-delayed bill that would legalize Internet poker in California is being amended to address concerns by a group of Native American casino operators who had opposed the measure, setting the stage for a possible vote in the state Assembly on Monday.One change to the bill by Assemblyman Adam Gray would create a five-year disqualification period for those who were providing I-poker games to U.S. citizens while it was against federal law to do so.A group of Native American tribes that operate casinos had opposed the bill when it allowed so-called "bad actors" easier access to state I-poker licenses. The amendment appears to address what those opponents had asked for.The bill is also being amended to change the tax rate for I-poker sites from a sliding scale of 8.64% to 15% based on the annual gross gaming revenue to a flat rate of 10%."This deal should secure two-thirds [vote] in the Assembly," said Trent Hager, the chief of staff for Gray, in an email. He added indications are that "it will be fairly well received in the Senate."

Agreed EH9 - and that 2.28% of buying might be just the ticket to create the breakout above 425p needed that will then push share price onwards - the share price is really trailing the positives for the stock over the past 6 months

what will really kick share price on will be a NY or Cal approval later this yr early next yr - then we will be heading for double the current sp

It looks to me that they added more to keep share price down (big fall on Friday) and exited some on Monday. They now need to get out as analysts are only half way through publishing the upgrades.

I am not convinced that is the case

Under regulation they are obliged to report the net short position - therefore any long on CFD on the other side would need to be included in the net short position disclosed

It is unlikely to be a naked short position - bet your bottom dollar he's long CFD on the other side - short is just there to protect his profit and may increase as share price goes higher.
