As far as currency is concerned the 'choice' is all down to politics I'm afraid.

IMO

"In a strong wind even turkeys can fly".

If gold gets to $2000oz and this turkey is still alive we might get some of the losses back imo.

There is no way PGD could ever have paid a dividend.

Yes, I have asked the board, how they managed to lose 4 mill.

I have been thinking this all day and trying to work it out,
If they have it in Peso then in Dollars then they would be making a fortune
Then they would trade it into pounds which would make it a bit less of a fortune

I still can't work it out other than they fixed their dollar exchange some months ago
and then they fixed their dollar to pounds at the same time

Are we being played I like everyone else am down a small fortune, in fact a large fortune

When they are digging up stuff that is priced in US dollars, selling it for US dollars, reporting profits in US dollars and paying some expenses in a currency that has depreciated against the US dollar, how the hell do they make a material foreign exchange loss ?

Hi lochlea, yes still holding. Sold some at the highs but wish I'd cleared the lot out. Are you still in?

These guys can't buy a break, even though most of their pain has been self inflicted. I do like the Calcatreu project, although Argentina seems to be back in basket case territory.

Fukinell. A decent six monthly report. Apart from the bottom line. That's a first.

Interims due soon. Let's hope they don't contain the usual excuses on their production underachievement. Be nice to see some evidence/update regarding the CEO's expectation & promise to achieve "significant milestones" in the "ensuing year".

Partly due to geopolitical factors beyond the control of the directors. Not that I'm a fan, I'm in the same position as you are.

Ahhh, yes. Re the final paragraph, yes, as a shareholder I'm really feeling the benefit.

Top job from the board.

The Directors believe the Capital Reorganisation is necessary to improve the
marketability of the Company’s ordinary shares by creating a higher trading price per ordinary share. With shares of a low market price, small absolute movements in the share price can represent large percentage movements, resulting in volatility.

Further, a public quoted company is unable to issue shares for less than the nominal value of its ordinary shares. As the Company’s share price has been trading at or around its nominal value, the Directors are also mindful that, without the Capital Reorganisation, the Company may not be able to raise funds as opportunities present themselves. The purpose of the SubDivision is to retain a low nominal value of the shares, similar to the Existing Ordinary Shares.

The Board is therefore of the view that the Capital Reorganisation would benefit the Company and its Shareholders to reduce the number of Existing Ordinary Shares in issue, whilst increasing the trading price of the Company’s New Ordinary Shares.

These have now halved since the consolidation.

Can someone remind me why there was a consolidation ?
