£1.75 on its way don't forget these were 1.75 when consolidation was announced and gold price was much lower.

With Gold Price raise so rapid, the 300,000oz at depth below openpit of Cap
Oeste, along with new zero cost mines nearby , will make all sense for a cleaver excavation scheme for the maximum profit, Same like Real estate, to make the company bigger, you need large "good land reserve " . The CEO was also a executive director of the major HK listed Real Estate Co called "SEA Group, very smart people. Let along the Chairman's deep pocket and business astuteness, hugely promising . Most of share is held by he billionaire Chairman and family. Timing is everything !!! This is how to attract institution coming on boards for a bigger future. Look at ex-buy by Chairman was 1.75p old money, BUY!

Fell from £1.75 or 1.75 pre consolidation so heading back there it would seem and maybe much higher don't forget £5 a share is only 5p lol

Re today's 15% rise - pleased for longstanding, long-suffering PGD shareholders (I sold yonks ago). Still very modest in the context of the post-consolidation fall, but nice to see someone's vote of confidence.

Today's RNS is very smart for zero cost of acquiring 4 additional property in area PGD has been based for decades!!! with gold price moving north again (likely reach$1400/oz in coming months (along with silver), PGD is cash flow rich (recent production cost is less than$ 500/oz) for yearly production of 45000oz for 2018), new drilling at Calcatreu new flagship site. also the 300,000pz at depth below openpit of Cap Oeste, etc.. PGD clearly know when to start to commit the CAPEX to making maximum efficiency !! 2019 should be major turned around and I put my money there my mouth is, ADD!

Christopher van Tienhoven, CEO, commented:

"With this acquisition, Patagonia Gold will consolidate the properties adjacent or near to its El Tranquilo block, thereby expanding the Company's potential mineral resources in the highly prospective El Deseado Massif region. Future detailed exploration activities will be carried out in the acquired areas in order to seek to increase our inventory of resources."

Cash Flow is being used well including debt repayment.

However, a long way to go for shareholders to recover all or part of their capital.

Agreed long way to go but let's get back over £1 first

The trouble is we now need over a 100% rise just to get back to where we were at the time of the consolidation. So even with good news there is very little fanfare.

I'm also tempted to average down as it's fallen so much from £1.7 back in may. Just holding back abit for now as it's like catching a falling knife

I think they'll struggle on in a difficult national climate. The outlook for gold is improving.I reckon the market is being very churlish towards the stock just now.I'd average down but I've been here before with Patty.

Do you think this will fail then? It is priced to fail now but after all the money and acquisitions will be very disappointed to see this fail

In fact, the new management seem to be making a reasonable go of it on the production front. The foreign exchange loss is a disappointment of course but I feel for the company.Just how do you hedge against the vagaries of the Argentinian Peso, let alone sudden decisions to impose an export tax.Argentina is a total disgrace in the world of business, nationalising assets out of the blue (remember Kirchner and Repsol)and imposing penal rates of tax on foreign owned companies.Of course,it wasn't until Mariana concentrated on Hot Maden in Turkey and down played its Argentinian interests, that it got lucky.I've mentally written off my holding here,it's a capital loss in waiting.Yet it's educational.Be very vigilant about buying small mining operators in countries like Argentina and South Africa.Better to stick to countries like Australia or Canada. Its difficult enough to make money in these mining minnows without buying into companies that operate in a hostile environment.
