Agreed this is being run by a bunch or idiots. Shareholders need to kick management out

If 15 annual reports aren't a good practical yardstick to judge a Company's past & likely future performance on - then I don't know what is.

There is no new management per se. Only a change of CEO in 2015. The rest of the BoD have been there for many years now.

And of course the local currency issues/problems have too. Just a matter of degrees.

I've lost count of the number of "cash injections" there's been over the years. 20+ perhaps? The latest to essentially acquire Calcatreu. Let's hope this time, for once, it's money well spent.

The decision to have the share consolidation was a master stroke of timing. Not. Most sensible companies only do similar from a position of strength (not weakness).
They could have easily waited to do the consolidation when there was positive developments to report on Calcatreu or elsewhere. Still what's a 78% drop in shareholder value over a few months when you've been a LTH??

FFS

ps still trying to recruit a COO to the "new" management..........

The past is the past and now with a cash injection we have new management in a country with a currency problem and small shareholders selling out.

I am watching for a new entry point perhaps 50% below the high......not sure yet.

Current Market Cap ain't too different to the value/amount that was coughed up recently in cash for Calcatreu project/deposit. Crazy situation.
Crazy share price. But that's AIM for you.

Drilling starts in a few weeks at Calcatreu. Let's hope that's the project that gets back some real value for LTHs.

Looking back - cash burn over the past 15 years is off the scale given what's been delivered.

Not wishing to overdo the negativity - but is there any chance PGD might actually find some meaningful amounts of gold at some point ?

Just askin'.......

Not really in the UK.........lots of talk .........no action due to lack of funds........and can you prove "gross negligence"?

Give us an example as if you were going to present it to your solicitor.

Realistically, what are the chances of a successful joint action lawsuit by PIs against the company for gross negligence? Has anyone ever heard of such a thing happening?

The big reason for a lower production result was the weather.........it was worse than freezing so how many of us would want to work in those conditions.

I was told months ago about all that went on in the past. The past is the past and its new management with good cost control - and a higher gold price - that will make us money over the coming years.

Loose sellers are being taken out so anyone who feels like selling will find willing buyers even if the country has had a bad case of currency jitters.

Historically and factually this company is a serial underachiever.

The past isn't always indicative of the future. A leopard can change its spots, but it doesn't happen often. Best not bet much on it happening here though.

Maybe like you Lochlea ,i held Brancote (rather successfully)and was ceded the rump ie HPD Exploration which renamed itself Patagonia Gold back in 2003.That was of course back in the good old days of Mr William Humphries.I trusted Mr H's judgement, most people did,and unfortunately followed his lead and bought more stock at around 35p(that'd be at least 350p in today's money) as the price slid from around 80p (near 800p adjusted).I do remember some years back, the management awarded itself options at near all time highs and then wished to adjust the striking price as the price fell claiming that the shares had been artificially inflated by bid rumours.Um didn't put them in a very good light..Anyway,that's all behind us and I have to say that the new team really do appear to have a better handle on things. However, please forgive old holders like me and Lochlea appearing a tad cynical when we get the perennial cut in production targets and read of the utter economic mess that is Argentina. You see,we've seen it all before.

You might elicit some sympathy if you took some responsibility, for the loss yourself for buying when a sector was due a plunge.
We have all done it I'm sure.
Instead you are rude to management and other posters.

The likelihood of putting new investors off is higher when they read such posts and the only way it is going to rise is when the sector is ready and when investors choose to invest in PGD as opposed to various gold miners.
I dare say I'm in for another rude post now. 8-(

A good post Anley.
The dollar cost is remarkable....years ago I remember it being said that 600$ or under was a very good cost price!
So to achieve that now....impressive.

I came in to this stock a few months ago based on a new management plan and solid shareholders......I still find the solid shareholders and management BUT on top of this stale bulls that seem to have been stuck in this share but they are now starting to smell!

A few posts ago I mentioned one benefit.....

"The significant devaluation of the Argentine Peso during May and June had a positive impact on cash costs which resulted in cash costs for June 2018 of US$513/oz and US$555/oz including depreciation and amortisation".

What we now need is a GOLD price increase say back up to $1300 and steady Peso. Until that happens I will add to my holding and wait for the next world credit squeeze which will in my view push the price of gold well past $1400........so be patient or those who grumble sell or not post at all.
