These are good numbers....COST-WISE.

'
Production at Cap Oeste for Q1 2018 totalled 10,662 oz AuEq at an average cash cost of US$693/oz and US$756/oz including depreciation and amortisation. '

HAZL........the management of Goldcorp have studied all the current information that is available world wide to find suitable prospects and they have said that the big ones are now no longer to be found.

With the USA banging on with its deficit and the shrinking of world liquidity we will soon wake up to find the price of gold going through the roof. Some are looking to link gold with crypto currencies...........now that is food for thought.

These were 1.75 or £1.75 before the consolidation so would you not say it's already started ?? Lol

......and the inevitable post consolidation price falls begin as the price starts to drift downwards.......

In todays climate are we not investing in NEW management in the hope of seeing a rising Gold price over the next few years?

There are some who think that all the decent deposits of gold in the world have been found and are now boing mined..........think about the implication over the next few years and if you feel I am wrong please bring to my attention any world class finds.

I would also suggest it is not wise to put shed-loads into any
of the high risk shares .
But when you get in at the right time even a smallish holding can do well,in my opinion.

I only post to counteract your dire message and provide some optimism for any new readers of the thread..
Certainly not to gloat.
Again many people might be forgiven for thinking it is sensible to stay in a company for years but that is probably not consistent with such a volatile sector as the Gold industry.
I would suggest understanding the different sectors and how that works at the basic level is more important than anything else.

I don't agree, purely rests on when you invested in my opinion.
I have been pleased with this share in the past.

I concede I probably bought in rather early, this time round, and I can see that by most of the other gold miners but I often am a bit early to the party.
As long as the fuure's bright I don't mind.
Let's hope it is.

Folks have consistently posted similar comments (on & off) since this thread first started WAY back.

17 years later since Co in being and over £250 million cash burn - we are where we are.

Trouble's been - they promise much, have always seemingly had great potential BUT deliver very little. And nothing like what they projected doing over the many years.

In their defence they haven't thrown in the towel, although I guess Miguens and his family have invested far too much to consider that option.

Seems to be a bit of a one man & his dog outfit at the mo. Only a permanent CEO in place in management team. No COO and only an interim CFO.

Due to the Peso devaluation the cost of PGD have gone down by 25% but if machinery and such like have to be imported then that is a minus.

It seems that the management is making good all round progress and its one to be tucked away for a year or two.

It's the same for most gold shares.
When the cycle changes so will the share prices.
Every cycle changes.

It's concerning as we're in the dark and we've drifted from 65p to under 1p recently.

Not really, the Bid was 0.125p yesterday, and it's the equivalent of 0.12p today.

I side with eblitz.
Gold shares generally have been on the back foot for some time but as we know some have begun to see the green shoots of recovery.
I think this is still an interesting company that has done quite well for me anyway,in the past.
I am sure it will make it look more 'worthy' but when gold really takes off,is when we are likely t see more advances in the share-price I guess.
Certainly rather be buying it now than when it was 60 or 70 before a drop!
There is all to play for at this price.
Clearly there are no guarantees so it's best not to bet the farm as they say but I think it represents a good risk/reward.

In a way you are right but in the case of this company I would say its more about liquidity.

Then there is the problem with their currency although they are mining GOLD = DOLLAR$ which they need and that should underpin the share price.
