Do you think my really stupid, uneducated guess at a 30p placing still looks stupid, KN? As the share price slumps ever closer to that number? Or do you think it's time for a another top-up? Just asking....

Results for recent past PAA finals

26/6/13
25/7/12
30/6/11
30/6/10

So invariably 6 months to get their (usually utterly ghastly IMO) numbers out. Not funny at all IMO!

I'm breathless with excitement so see what they say about (what I believe was forecast b4 the forecasts were pulled by the house broker) their loss-making H2 2013 and what this year will look like given apparent failure to find a big sponsor for The Championship.

Anyone phoned Sanlam to ask what the current forecasts are? Thought not!

Orvil,
Any idea when results are out?
Are they ones to 32/12/13?
I would have thought accounts for a £3m company should be fairly simple and therefore produced timely.

Very bad manners to copy another posters profile name except for adding a "R". It took me a while to work it out as I know 29howard would not spam countless threads with a tip/rumour (Advfn take note)

You forgot to include the 1.3 million DROP in prize money - I await like the rest of us SHAREHOLDERS to know if there were any issues with The Championship - hang on, but there's been no RNS and the company should have updated shareholders if there were any material issues...
I repeat - I sold out of PPR after the last director resignation - even I know when to quit! I don't give a fig leaf if you believe me or not!

KN. Ballantine's were probably IMO £4+m of revenue for PAA in 2012 (and prob similar 2013). How much do you think these 2014 sponsors paid to have their name on a hoarding? Simple question. Deserves a simple answer.

I'm really going to give you a hard time if this pans out as expected.

PS nobody, from reading your PPR posts, can possibly believe you owned no PPR this morning. Nobody. All IM very LMAO opinion.

Troll next door - are you watching the thread all day waiting to reply? I am stating FACTS - go and look at the website! I have no idea how much sponsorship the company got from these companies - nor do you! I am merely highlighting that the website has updates and sponsors were on display during the four days and great coverage on Sky Sports - FOR FELLOW SHAREHOLDERS.
So spreading fear and doubt is what is repulsive in my opinion and you do that in spades!!!!!!!!! Shareholders tend to post positively - don't they!?
BTW if you actually read the PPR thread I stated I sold a while ago! Sad individual worrying about other peoples financial situations instead of focusing on his own.

KN you repulsive rampster hampster.

I'm pretty confident PAA have had a disaster with The Championship. All those minor sponsors are probably small fry IMO . Ballantine's were the big sponsors here and probably nobody came along to stump up millions for this event. Sure, a few quid here and there for a little ad on a hoarding.

I'm going to absolutely love it when you lose all your money here. Just like your latest probable wipe-out at PPR.

You are clueless IMO and will lose all your money. The sooner the better.

Great to see the website being updated regularly over the last few days to cover The Championship. Especially liked the picture of the winner holding the trophy with the names of the sponsors behind him. Sponsors included:
Emitrates
DP World
SunMoon
Volvik
F T I
It's Skin
Lynx
and 4-5 others that I could not quite make out. So it appears PAA worked hard being the scenes to get sponsorship so now we just need an update asap to confirm it went well..

Loverat - I have to back you up on your comment about AIM earlier. There is a large section of private investors who prefer to invest in higher risk small cap/AIM shares instead of steady and safe FTSE100 shares. ADVFN obviously has threads for virtually all companies listed on the stock market. However I reckon most/all of the most active (top 20) discussion threads relate to AIM shares like MTV - QPP - DOR - ECR etc. Indeed the CR thread is probably the most active of the lot. I very much doubt VOD or HSBC get any where near the posts that a decent number of small caps do.
Thanks why I am puzzled by BB interest in PAA - it is probably one of the most inactive threads on ADVFN. As I said earlier - he would serve a greater purpose by warning of the dangers of investing in MTV - QPP - DOR - ECR etc.
The AIM market is were you can make significant money (and lose it) and I've done well buying at the lows on QPP - MOS - FITB - HITG to name four this week. I've never said I have a perfect record but the trick is not to be over-exposed to any one share. PAA has the potential to fall/rise 50% on a single day depending on the news (ie. sponsorship shortfall OR annual results showing return to profits). I suspect ALL shareholders posting here know the score and do not need the gloating of 1-2 individuals just to make them selves feel good.

I hold and do not look at the company through rose-tinted glasses.
I have a long term core holding and traded short term a couple of times when it fluctuated between 6p and 19p. Made a few quid but like others hope to come out in credit.

Buywell2, I have issues with posters who only appear to post on shares they do not hold. I have issues with posters who only post on bad news/share price fall days but disappear when the share price recovers or there is good news.
I respect posters who continue to post during the good times and the bad - whether shareholders or those who "just want to help poor investors who cannot be bothered to DYOR".
I hope you respect the fact that I (and you) have posted here when the share price was doing ok and when the share price is back at historic lows - note I have not held for 14 years and trade this share like others - only reinvested recently at 115p and downwards! I am prepared to hold for a significant time as I am backing the director who acquired shares at 156p ie. circ 65% higher than the current share price. There is more likelihood of success here with the director(s) putting money into their company - they will not be happy with the current share price either BUT the company is in a closed period with results due this month.
The question is why do some derampers only target 3-4 shares? Why not post on a share were they think the share price is too high and will fall back - perhaps they feel their arguments are not as strong on a WSG etc.
I presume you post here because you MAY invest here at some point - something about PAA interests you - do you have a share price target etc...
Remember shareholders will tend to make positive comments - I don't really see a problem since WE have the potential financial profits/losses to realise via actually holding the shares!

And what, KN, is obsessive about trying to help fellow investors?

The obsession around here is IMO more your constant bullish, ill-conceived claptrap that I truly believe you think will make a difference.

What advfn rule says that you have to hold shares to express an opinion ?

Sometimes posters try to save other advfn users money

Like me for example with my charting and TA expertise

thus far British's posts I have found fairly well reasoned and crafted

PLUS

He has put quite a bit of time into getting the data together

Conclusion

I have posted longer than many here on advfn

My experience has taught me to listen to both positive and negative views re share buying/selling
