12/4/2014 18:15 | So much potential for more golf tournaments, more Live Nation pop concerts and more Electric Run events - it's time for the company to realise its potential over the next 1-2 years especially since the two equity raisings has given more financial security and should give the company the ability to start to expand gl | ![]() knigel

12/4/2014 11:15 | We now know that The Championship IS happening and we now know the venue - so this is new information from last week. All we are waiting for now is confirmation on the sponsorship(s) and I agree a further RNS before Easter would ease concerns gla | ![]() knigel

11/4/2014 10:36 | Only a year to agree a deal with Blackstone and the event gets moved 3 weeks before tee off. You couldn't make it up. I wonder what happened... I see the tour have offered to refund player's flight costs to Korea. The bull case remains that a last minute sponsor is found the bear case is that the tour sends a lot of big bills to PAA! | britishb
11/4/2014 10:27 | ga123 it will be in the hands of the sponsor to sanction an announcement, delays seem to be the norm at the moment. Next week Rodney! | ![]() orvil
11/4/2014 10:24 | but theres still no mention of sponsor? | ![]() ga123
11/4/2014 10:01 | Ga123 it would appear that getting a major sponsor was not the issue The Championship was scheduled to be staged at Blackstone Golf Club in Icheon from May 1-4, but "staging issues" mean the £900,000 event has been switched to Laguna National Golf and Country Club in Singapore. Keith Waters, chief operating officer and director of international policy for the European Tour, said: "We are delighted to announce that The Championship will be played at the Laguna National Golf and Country Club in Singapore, a venue we have enjoyed a wonderful relationship with in the past and one that I know our members will enjoy returning to next month. "It shows the strength of our relationship with Laguna National that they have been able to help us out at relatively short notice and we would therefore like to put on record our thanks to owner Peter Kwee and all his staff for their assistance." Laguna National hosted the Singapore Masters between 2002 and 2007 and the Singapore Open from 2009 to 2012. When asked for details on the problems, Waters told Press Association Sport: "The promoter, PMG (Parallel Media Group), could not reach agreement with a suitable venue." Players who have already paid for flights have been asked to claim on their travel insurance if they incur costs when making changes. If that is not possible, the European Tour will refund additional costs. | ![]() orvil
11/4/2014 09:33 | so the switch from korea to Singapore is because "pmg could not reach agreement for a suitable venue" | ![]() ga123
10/4/2014 17:31 | Buywell2'the deal has been sanctioned by the European and Asian golf tours, so they must be happy that the prize money is raised, it is the major sponsor not the promoter that puts up the prize money either that or co-joint sponsors, we will have to await the anouncement due shortly. | ![]() orvil
10/4/2014 17:05 | Has PAA the funds to put up prize money to attract a sponsor ? ie to cut a deal so to speak | ![]() buywell2
10/4/2014 11:41 | knigel,i would confidently bet that any news over the next few days will have zero effect on the share price, which is the one thing we all need to rise and keep rising. | ![]() ga123
10/4/2014 11:37 | No volume. Everyone holding off until the next update? | ![]() knigel
10/4/2014 11:07 | indeed, securing sponsorship for the event has been the biggest risk identified by Sanlams report. Whilst there are no sponsors named as yet I believe we can infer that this will follow in due course. Perhaps sponsorship will be multi-year and the sponsoring party is controlling how and when this is done. The RNS title was 'update', so to me a precursor purely to allay some concerns. | dusseldorf
10/4/2014 10:52 | No just the first step you are the only one expounding it as fantastic news. | ![]() orvil
10/4/2014 10:31 | so orvil.....is this the news that's supposed to change little madams views and all is fantastic,i don't see it somehow. | ![]() ga123
10/4/2014 10:27 | the usual crowd posting as if something fantastic has happened,.....am I missing something. | ![]() ga123
10/4/2014 10:15 | I'd say the announcement means very little from an investors viewpoint. Neither the bull nor bear case enhanced. Are Laguna paying for the privilege of hosting the event? No news of any meaningful sponsorship (tho still a little time for something to come along). Who is paying the prize money? etc etc Very very exciting indeed! | britishb
