So Drewster you sold at £5.60, bought at £4 sold at £4.60, what is your call now? Share buy back underpin re-established, might we see £5.60 again?

Indeed @Phillis ... this line "The strength of our business ensures we are well positioned to react positively to the opportunities which will inevitably emerge." read as if they are intending to go on the acquisition trail as and when companies go into "distressed seller" territory. They did something similar (with great success) in the 90s. Interesting year ahead.

It will be interesting to see how the price behaves now that the protection which was offered by the buy back is no longer in play.

Tempted to stay in given the lack of logic behind some significant strength, but took the view that 460 is above my target, so back to cash with the trading batch. Will wait for another tempting entry point in the coming months.

Back in again, looking for at least 4.50 within the month. Will bail if things turn particularly sour, but looks overdone on the downside for now.

This is certainly getting interesting around 400 for a short term trade

I suspect I might buy a few again if she dips much below 500, though I remain ultra cautious of an Armageddon-like market meltdown.

FF - I don't think it matters. I think "middle England" is already feeling the strain, and much more financial pressure will have a telling effect on potentially every area, possibly snowballing into the biggest market meltdown in history.

But I seem to remember that PAG maintained profitability last time around. It was just a short term funding issue that caused problems and they have learned their lesson - they now have retail funding.

Is anyone else sensing a potential meltdown in the housing sector during 22/23? I can see an almost perfect storm approaching that could see markets, and house prices, get totally battered. If I get my 560, I might take a flight to cash and sit watching from the sidelines for while.

I'm looking for 560 to sell my trading tranche ... think I'll get it this week or next too

According to my diary, today is divi day, but no sign in my account yet. HL never are the quickest, though.

Was happy to take some off the table on the early spike.

Nice divi, but expect to be able to buy sub 500 in '22
