Tipped as a buy yesterday by Simon t. Investors chronicle. He has more faith than Mr Market evidently

So the stock needs to get to the overrated price (according to you) and a miss for you to make a small profit..sounds logical to me

The stock was overpriced either way, you would have been mad to buy it at 550p. Results didn't meet expectation plus the hit or miss rate hikes means future earnings may not be as high. Good entry point now though, has come down 8-9%.

Have I missed something? What's going on with the share price?

A great update this morning. The large increase in buy-to-let market share is particularly encouraging.

Shed load more nil-paids dished out and sold.

What's the fascination with this company over OSB?. I don't get it, surely Osb will have to rise.

great transition - to be continued
Business growing, great balance sheet firepower
share buy back continues and divi cover to be reduced by 10%

a better bank than RBS for sure!

Quite right TD - I have achieved that only once in my life making 12.75 cents of a 13.25 cent swing on a currency spread bet - now I settle quite happily for 50-60% of a swing.

Despite my loathing of the top table (massively) over rewarding themselves and stock piling nil-paids, I've pocketed over 6 figures trading in and out, so should possibly learn to be less bitter.

"Always leave some for the next man" a very wealthy trader once told me, never expect to get in at the bottom or out at the top.

I agree TD - may well sell out shortly - although a 3.3% dividend yield (well covered) is always attractive. Ho hum.

15p divi helps.

Not a buyer at these levels, as quite sure there'll be opportunity to buy lower in coming months.

Wonderful wonderful trading share.

Very dull results (so far as I can see from a quick skim through them) - but market appears happy enough. Will have to wait until full results are published to see what the KEY stakeholders (the directors) are going to make out of PAG this year.

0.25% is a very small hike, and almost certainly already priced in to Paragons cost of funds, as this small potential rise has been priced in to forward rates for a while. Hardly tippy at this level imo

Looking a bit toppy at these lofty levels, especially if the rate gets hiked tomorrow.

Non-Exec's rarely actually know what is going on an a operational level. More strategic and oversight.

Happy holder.

Only 5.7% return at the price he sold at - but point still applies. Interesting that there was not even the slightest blip in share price so there must be good demand for them! (I have a few and won't be selling on this news!).

Non-exec selling 6% notes is a little odd. £260k worth!
Either thinks he can better the 6% return, or what??

Run into a brick wall at 417 right now. Waiting for whoever is selling here to finish. I suspect it's just a matter of time.

General sector seems to be moving up but PAG and VM. lagging

Took some this morning at 413. Sector moving up. On spreadbet. May hold or may traded depending on what things look like later. Somewhere between 425 and 435 doesn't look too challenging based on chart and way rest of sector is moving
