I think today shows how much the continuous selling by Farallon can suppress the share price and how little buying it actually takes to move the price northwards when they stop.

I suspect that, outside of Farallon, there is, and will be, a lot less 'free' stock available thanks to the number of long term sticky holders, than many think.

Just general sentiment i’d guess, oil up, markets up.

News is, of course, very close now. Surely no later than the end of next week?
My bet is a farmout, oh to be a fly on the wall...

Agree buying either would have been a bad move so yes going all in on txp would have been expensive.

These were c. 93p at that time. TXP was 136 so with 66p and 103p respective lows the poster was actually correct with the call.
Guess sell both was wisest of all.

Winner66, fools are soon parted with their money. I'd be more inclined to sell PANR and go all in with TXP as far less downside potential.

Well, you said it.....

Substantial increase in oil price over the last 24 hours . Supporting the major investment banks analysis regarding long term benchmark of 85 dollars plus .

"IMO a farm out is still very much on, also supported by the lack of the normal media blitz, that precedes a conventional capital raise."

Not aware that panr had a media blitz before last years placing and if you go back to the posts on here just before it occurred think you'll find much the same attitudes as today with most dismissing a placing due to the amount of interest they'd had in the data room.

Fact check for ngms27, post #19974: my correction inside [.....]

"$8 to $10 in the ground is fantasy island. The $2.8 is what a purchaser paid [factually incorrect, Oil Search paid Armstrong $3.10 per contingent barrel in the ground in Q4 '17 when the POO was $55]. Success at Talitha won't put the Sp on a $2.8 per barrel in the ground price. Half of that would be good. Personally $1 per barrel works for me."
