03/11/2021 21:21 | Tough day for oil down a fair but we held on well, oil declined even further after our close and despite the optimism on the non funding oil projects agreement apparently due to be announced tomorrow let's see how we hold for me anything above 80 keeps me on track for my nineties targets :)I'm also off the feeling tomorrow 7:00 am maybe our confirmation !!!! If not we may pull back slightly but still on our up trend :) | sirmark
03/11/2021 20:08 | (CNN)At least 20 countries have agreed to end financing for fossil fuel projects abroad, a UK official told CNN, in a deal expected to be announced Thursday. Another source close to the COP26 climate summit negotiations said that the US was party to the agreement. Officials at the US State Department did not immediately respond to CNN to confirm the country's involvement. Several countries had already agreed to end international financing for coal, but this agreement would be the first of its kind to include oil and gas projects as well. If that is the extent of the action on oil, it is probably good news for Pantheon. Money which had been heading abroad will need to find a home in the US. | unlikely2

03/11/2021 17:31 | Dear All - looks like only 6 blocks in the whole North Slope region have been secured at auction this year. Nothing close to PANR's acreage. | scot126
03/11/2021 17:26 | Also at 16.13 & 16.15.... 3 x RNS it is then... | chris0805
03/11/2021 17:23 | Though some, Dan de lion, believe it could possibly be remediated (I think rabito79 was someone who thought they might try?) | probabilityofsuccess

03/11/2021 16:20 | Ah yes, I forgot about the Euroclear figures. I'd be a *wee bit* wary about interpreting those figures as being due to naked shorts of PANR. I'm not saying it's *not* naked shorts but I'm going to give an alternative explanation which *may* apply to PANR (and TXP also for that matter). We've all noted the recent uplift in the volume of $pthrf being traded. Heck, at the start of 2021 I recall the ADV being 12k units, moving to 18k units after a few months! There is a scenario which sees the OTC market makers in $pthrf making far greater use of the borrow offered via Euroclear to facilitate their cross-border trading. Remember, the OTC quote and the units traded are not fungible. The US market makers are required to support the facilitated volume by backing up that volume in London, on a 1-for-1 basis. Just an FYI, nothing definitive but worth keeping at the back of your mind? NB. The FCA/ShortTracker database doesn't record any short positions at time of writing. | scot126
03/11/2021 16:04 | See bomber post 18647 if you missed it... 2.67% short on PANR... | chris0805
03/11/2021 16:01 | Apart from holder of shorts as was posted this morning.... No sympathy for them from me however :-)GLA C | chris0805
03/11/2021 15:56 | Hi Bought In - auction results due to be released today, 9am Anchorage time so 5pm London time. Happy to be corrected. Hi sezuan - I see. Please forgive me if I have misunderstood your earlier post. Please also note that the content within quotation marks is not my own and nor has it been confirmed by anyone within PANR. Either which way, it *appears* we'll be reading RNSs with flow test results from BBF Lower and BFF Upper (perhaps the SFS too?) prior to the Theta West drill reaching TD. Good stuff. | scot126
03/11/2021 15:42 | Spangle93, I agree they wouldn't leave it with the BOP on BUT they will install one on the XMAS tree prior to testing and inserting coiled tubing. Given it does appear that the rig is being assembled at Talitha prior to onward transport it's likely that scot126 post 18708 is correct BUT coiled tubing units can also remove cement plugs from suspended or none suspended wells if required. | ngms27
03/11/2021 15:40 | scot126 and Spangle93 thanks for that confirmation; so it appears to me that we'll have the results of Talitha testing on the BFF upper and lower (and probably the other zones) before we get to TD on Theta West, that could get pretty interesting for the share price this side of xmas. | sporazene2
03/11/2021 15:39 | @scot how you quote it is also how PANR describes it in the "sequence and schedule of operations". That's why I originally thought the NC3 suffices. | cezuan
03/11/2021 15:27 | Outcome of the autumn lease sales tomorrow on the slope. Will have been another opportunity for Great Bear to seize some acreage | bought in
03/11/2021 15:26 | Hi Spangle93 and an imperceptible nod of recognition to ngms27. From reading the planned timetable and after communicating with someone who has a pronounced understanding of winter planning and operations events in Alaska, he made the following point: "Here's how I would design the programme. NC3 will stop at Talitha to pull the plugs and put the well into a condition to test with a coiled tubing unit. NC3 will then move to Theta West for drilling. Saves on mobilizing two rigs - elegant and money saving solution." This *suggestion* did not come from a PANR employee. Make of it what you will but I can follow the logic, as, it appears, can Spangle93 and ngms27. It's great to discuss and debate these matters so openly. Just a gentle reminder once again that this is not Nordic-Calista's first rodeo, nor is that the case for the combined PANR and GB management teams. I reminded another shareholder recently that, at different stages of their careers, Phillip Gobe and Jay Cheatham both had day to day operational responsibility for Prudhoe Bay as executives of ARCO. In addition, Theta West will be the fifth drill to be designed, planned and executed by the GB management team (after Alcor, Merak, Alkaid-1 and Talitha #A). | scot126 |
