Isn’t there another tranche of shares due to be issued under the bond agreement around now?

Reminds me of what Adam Smith said about economists in the Money Game
That they will always be ignored until such time as one of them manages to write a paper in English
None of this is intended to be a criticism of Sirmark btw, who provides great value to this board

And the difference between Friday and today is ? Exactly, an over zealous drop . Frustrating, but no doubt it will recover tmrw .

A very ungracious downticker acting against what are intended to be helpful posts. What is wrong with you?

Re: scot12614 Mar '22 - 15:40 - 24210

Thanks Scot126.
I'll stop asking for now anyway, because I think I understand what's going on.

In SirMark's post at 14:40 - 24201, he said: "It was the order book Level 2 this morning someone loaded up a lot about 20 10,000 share buy orders at £1.40 and they seem to have bought the price down to facilitate the buy order so I am expecting a large 200k plus sell to be reported as its not currently showing. That's all :)"

So I couldn't work out why having demand of the shares at £1.40 would somehow lead to dragging the price down by about 20% to what it was at the time. I think that Forwood has clarified that it was a simple typo (it should have said "£1.14" instead).

I was wondering if there was something that I didn't know about in relation to Level 2 data.

Thanks - I'll not keep this going further. You've hit on the reason why I was confused initially.

Do you think people will be truthful about this?
I've been reading posts on this board for over a year now, and seem to regularly see SirMark mention that he's made a big topup, with quoted number of shares. I'm guessing that he's got the most - or at least won't be able to dismiss the idea that he has a very substantial holding.

Hi beetlesblue - I hardly ever use those green and red tick thingumajigs but I just gave your post #24207 a red thumbs down. The reason? There's nothing wrong in the slightest with asking questions. Would that more members of the bulletin board community would follow your example! I hope the answers you received helped you along in your understanding. Good stuff.

While we're all waiting for TW news, how about making guesses at the average PANR holding of regular posters on this Bb?

sirmark - you left a "1"out of your description of the L2 activity. The large buy order was at £1.14, not £1.40.

Sandcrab - there was one large 200k buy order on the book from 7:50 a.m. at 114.

beetlesblue, I think what Sirmark is suggesting is that there was a large sell order that was passed onto the market in £10k tranches. He thinks it may initially have been an 'O' trade sell through Market Makers who then passed it onto the book as AT trades and that the original O sale will appear on the book later (large sales are sometimes delayed by MMs). I'm not convinced by that explanation - I think it was a direct sell through the SETS book. If you're still unsure what we're talking about, look up SETS, as it is fundamental to the buying and selling of shares.

Thanks for the additional clarification. There's a risk that ppl start complaining that I'm asking qns, so I'll stop for now.

I think what Sirmark is saying in English

Someone was shown as wanting to buy 20 *10,000 shares at £1.40
Someone sold that number of shares at that price and this reduced the overall price

Most of the oils in my watchlist are down, presumably on the fall in PoO (Brent currently $104). Laughable really, as PANR didn't go up much if at all when oil was $30 higher.

Re: sirmark14 Mar '22 - 14:40 - 24201

Thanks for the explanation. I'm not very clued up on the Level 2 activities.

Does it mean that the 200k plus buy has already been reported then, and so you're expecting an equivalent sell order to match it?

I think the primary target at talitha failed to flow, all other zones were successful. This is why at theta investors are holding back until its clear that theta has flowed.

I guess most readers here drop into oilprice.com from time to time. Sometimes the articles are of interest, like todays offering which has comment about Willow and Alaskan oil production going forward.

One quote that puts the result we are waiting for in perspective-

"One thing’s for sure of the Willow project, it has huge potential. The question is whether the probable environmental cost is too high. The greater Willow Area is thought to hold between 400 and 750 million barrels of oil equivalent and has the potential of producing over 100,000 bpd."

Tell me again what volume of recoverable we are hoping to prove up with the current test?

Hi - I'm sorry, what do you mean by this?
Maybe I'm just not familiar enough with the interactions that you're describing, but what does it mean to take out all the 10k buys and why does that result in expecting a large sell later?

beetlesblue

Looking for some support at the moment :(

Level 2 someone took out all the 10k buys x 20 (£1.14 )of them on the book so expect a large sell later.

A real anti climax at the moment, as we sit on the cusp of life changing news the support seems to be somewhat limited! Sitting here on tenterhooks that good news is coming, otherwise imo the share price will be severely punished.

WesTx, the SMD undoubtedly extends on unleased acreage, as for the BFF's, probably.

Westx you think 88E would make an RNS based on what they see on a PANR BB.That would be a new low from them!

Perhaps you're right- eventually we'll see if play extends onto unleased acreage. I'm sure images will be posted on 88e threads to pump that train wreck :)

Interesting tale, WesTx, and a bruising one it seems. The SoA conducts annual lease auctions for ANS land, usually in December (Nov and Jan in last two years due to Covid) so I don't *think* your point is applicable on this occasion.

I've always been of the opinion that well result information belongs to the folks that put up the money- in this case us. Not 88e or any other potential competitors. Why help them scout our well? As operator this is PANR call as to when info get disseminated. I may be sensitive on this subject as several years back we ran a DST on a new discovery and minor partner got excited and called all his buddies before we even logged the well. There was some open acreage on trend which ended up leased by his so called friends. We lost about one quarter of a nice oilfield because he couldn't keep his mouth shut. I realize this is an extreme example and maybe non applicable in this situation. We don't know what has been found on Theta logs- perhaps they are reinterpreting seis and looking at additional acreage ;)
