With such small amounts of flowing oil...how do they make a well commercial when it costs $20-$30m?You need c3000bbl per day to be viable. We seem a long way off?

Great result in that the primary zone Lower Basin Floor Flan is now confirmed as oil bearing and productive, AND  the resource will most likely be upgraded. This is very significant as there is now very little doubt that PANR owns a giant oil accumulation adjoining one of the world's largest export systems – very unique and extremely valuable. The results have confirmed the extension of the oil accumulation over a 10.5 mile (17km) distance from Talitha #A to Theta West – this is a massive step out. Finding an oil field greater than 1.0 billion barrel recoverable is very rare – and it could be much larger!Great result for all shareholders and the company!

Sounds very promising. But probably something for everyone in that update, i.e the weak bear case is predicated on this comment in the RNS:

Do people remember XEL, where, IIRC they discovered a large field (different conditions I know), but couldn't get the stuff out of the ground?

So Pantheon have now confirmed a reservoir of in excess of 1.2bn recoverable, have flow tested an as yet to be determined accumulation in the SFS, and we look forward to further drilling and production testing at Alkaid over the summer. All with a background of oil at $120+.
So far this year is looking pretty good.
Also ngms has taken up forestry, nice to know.
