Q13: What happened with the Canadian bank investment? Has that been closed after signing with BCM?The Canadian bank had initially indicated that they were looking for a million dollars at 10% ownership and that was on 5 licences . BCM have come in on 1 licence and we're now looking at discussing with the Canadian bank whether or not they want to do something on the other 4 licences. Obviously there's a proximity play here now. Mbe is now US$5m investment - a million cash and 4 million in the ground exploration - for 50% so that values that one single licence at more than the Canadian bank's complete valuation on the 5 licences. So we're still in discussion with the bank on whether or not they want to change their offer.

Took 5m of these around .9p just before the recent JV RNS, took profit at .19p but am now back in, see another strong move coming, read the tealeaves more news has been telegraphed and it could be VERY significant !!

I am looking for a move through .30p, the shares are most definitely in the BUY zone IMO.

The Canadian bank who were mistakenly named by Tim Livesey are big hitters in the mining space, for example they have invested over $100m in Caledonian Mining and seem to build relationships with their investees.

They have a list as long as your arm of mining companies they have put money into over the last decade, the bank is a offshoot of Merrill Lynch.

I think if ORR can get across the line with this bank it could be worth, in time, a lot more than the initial $1m therefore.

The share price has retraced since the recent high of .21p so it looks good for another rally.

The Senala deal approaches, from the sound of the interview it was strongly mooted that it is a distraction of management time and that implies they would happily accept a cash offer for their 30% stake, this has to be closed by mid February.

A cash injection of £5m+ would be a game changer here.

If the Canadian bank is involved, why would the company not mention it, surely that is market sensitive information?

It's a no brainer since now we know the funding is sorted by the Canadian bank which will send the share price a lot higher to what it currently is.

They have removed the comment about the Canadian Investment Bank on the Investor Meet platform also, all that is left is the presentation.

Those who watched will know who they are however.

Luckyabbeygale, why a no brainer?

Interesting that the news sensitive comments have been deleted on the LSE.
I think it was about the canadian bank funding.
Therefore Oriole now looks a no brainer.

Totally agree But the mgmt are either clueless or lying when they say its not a death spiral

These online Q&A sessions are a waste of space and clearly vetted, the awkward nasty questions are not asked by the presenter or ignored.

I concur, without the death spiral ORR's share price would probably be in the .30p's by now given recent news.

Lanstead will likely issue a holdings RNS soon, I expect them to have sold a slice of stock, it is what they do.

Future finance will be provided by the canadian bank.

I thought the point of an investor meet was for the leaders to enthuse over the prospects of the company and energise me enough to purchase a stake. I might have that wrong due to my naivety...it appears that the opposite has happened...

Good so you are now agreeing with me that it was a disastrous decision.Shares are down 13pct today as retail aren't fools ...How many times did Tim talk about dilution yet opted for a death spiral instead of a placing ?Yes we are too cheap but the IM was embarrassing ..pretending to answer all questions!!Lanstead was a huge mistake

The death spiral finance was needed urgently at the time, since I was locked out of this share. As I was waiting for funds and I was upset seeing Oriole hit 0.23p when I had been following them for ages.
By the times my funds arrived I managed to buy in loads at an average of 0.08p, which are up about 5K.

Not a buyer or a seller But unlike you I won't pretend a massive death spiral is bullish. Was a dreadful decision and it's why we aren't trading at where we should be .Embarrassing ..and i told the mgmnt at the time .

Tim's lengthy response (~54 mins in) to Director's purchases was interesting. IMO implied that they are deemed to be currently in a Closed Period, I guess the ongoing BCM negotiations. . Meanwhile re: Senala, are Managem going to dib-up $2m, or accept dilution, or make a Bid?

Embarrassing IM presentation Only answered questions they wanted to answer .Ignored my questions about the disastrous DEATH SPIRAL they put in place .Shame on Tim ..lack of transparency Kept saying no dilution ..lol Lanstead is huge dilution with loads of shares issued like CONFETTI.

Nothing much available online early doors, IG have some on offer at .1925p but it is obvious liquidity is tight on the buy side currently.

Should be a interesting week here, the possible sale of their Senegal licence stake approaches, must be completed by end February when the JV concludes.

It could be worth 2/3/4 times the current market cap IMO.

Have never known such difficulty in buying this stock, nigh impossible for several days now, even limit orders are getting rejected.

Clearly something is brewing.

Never a level playing field with these tiddlers.

IG are rejecting small orders and the market is asking a large premium for just £3k's worth.

News imminent?

Bought back in here yesterday having recently made a 80% return on my last trade, my bet is more news is coming and remember they have had meetings with the new owners of the Senegal JV partner.

A much smaller licence nearby was sold for £35m ORR's is five times larger, a deal or some arrangement over ORR's 30% stake has to be concluded by February.

ORR has already spent £7m on it so that is a starting point alone should they wish to sell the stake.

No wonder it is tough to buy in any size, can see this going back to .25p/.30p PDQ.
