raylee.. depending on who you are with you may not be invited to vote.
If you want to, you'll need to let them know, and they may charge you a nominal fee if you do decide to make your wishes known. (at least that's what I've found)

I have a nominee account. Not received anything yet on a vote. When should it come?

Anyone got a brief explanation of the three votes?

The Medco vote is self explanatory, but are the other two scheme votes linked in anyway to the bid or just the annual routine stuff?

Looked at 90 pages of Recommended Cash Acquisition by Medco.

Page 17 OPHIR will publish its preliminary financial results for 12 months
ending 31/12/18 on or around 12 MARCH 2019.

Page 65 and 66 details OPHIR interest in MEXICO offshore Block 5 Licence,
Block 10 Licence and Block 12 Licence.

Any thoughts on the figures due ?
Cant think Medco want Mexico interest, any thoughts?

Indeed smart money trying to extract some proper value for the small PIs & Pensioners that this management have been failed stewards of... May the HFs win & boot out Ophir's hapless management to put in place their own team who can best this low ball derisory offer. I WILL BE VOTING NO!!! Could be a replay of Bowleven & the blustering misleading CEO Kevin Hart who thankfully got shown the door before he bankrupted Bowleven!!! To think the sums that Bowleven squandered on Bomono!!! Actually a pittance in comparison to he hundreds of millions burnt by Ophir on Fortuna & Dusters. Sadly these firms never have forensic audits undertaken - US authorities have grit & teeth - UK agencies need to up their game!!!

None of it explains why IIs are buying above medcos offer, sandgrove alone 120 million, GWM 16, goldmans almost 50. They are clearly betting on a different outcome to this.

Hate hate this corrupt muppet management of Ophir.

Sneakily put out on Friday afternoon - voting deadline is 21 March & results / meeting will be on 25 March [High Probability of a failed effort]

There is such a stink about this whole transaction - clearly Booth & Schrader have an inside connection with Medco / CEO - Lorato & are being "looked after" ;)

A new bidder is not the only possible outcome, I repeat that it is also possible the activist will seek to install an alternative management team in the wake of a failed bid. I would also take anything Hannam says with a pinch of salt, he is no friend of the retail investor.

WE ARE DUE SOME NEWS FROM OPHIR's INCOMPETENT MUPPET MANAGEMENT..

Been a month since recommended offer..

No concerns for shareholders from Ophir's crooked management.

Romeike --> all indications are that bid will not fail but will be trumped by another bidder (as indicated by Hannam) or the offer will itself by raised by Medco

Prior Post -->
Hannam stating that Alan Booth should invite other London firms to bid clearly indicates that there are other bidders waiting to pounce...

Medco offer at 55p is a dead duck.... NO WAY THEY ARE GETTING 75% :)

Still getting mopped up at a premium to Medcos offer and we're still none the wiser.

@Dunderheed - I may very well be wrong but I'd suggest that when Medco's supporters withdraw their interest in Ophir, as the bid collapses (I doubt it will even get to a vote now) there may well be a window of opportunity to get some shares in the low-40p range.

I'm sure Medco have nowhere near the 75% they need for the vote, hence no call for one. Perhaps the BOD will sway it with their cumulative 0.14% between them ;-)

Interesting that Medco are keeping quiet on the matter, probably weighing up their options which of course could result in them walking but after 2 significant shareholders have made their positions clear I can't see this going through @ 55p.

Interesting...very interesting.
No good for me though as don't hold any shares now, lol, as certainly didn't expect this "kind of scenario" to play out.
Remains to be seen if indeed it leads to higher offer(s) though of course.
As ever all imho and dyor all.

Just reviewing profile of Bill Schrader again - does have a stink about his tenure. Worked as a senior person or head in many corrupt regions of the world - Angola (BP Country Head), Indonesia (President for BP - also where Medco is based), COO of TNK BP Russian Joint Venture - nothing more to add here. Russian Klepto Oligarchs well known..

Following on from Bill Scrader's history, if you look at the Medco CEO, Roberto Lorato he also worked in a number of similar countries, West Africa, Russia and Indonesia... Plus, he was the President of VICO Indonesia which is a BP, ENI joint venture between 2003-2006, just when Bill Schrader was BP President of Indonesia as he left in 2004 ..... these two must know each other & be in cahoots?
