In the light of what's going on.....or more to the point what's not going on, the cretins running this company really do need to come up with a viable plan "B", before what little shareholder value remaining is completely destroyed.

@nigelpm Yeah :( I just popped in to see if anyone had anything interesting to say and aside from your post it is a wall of filtered posts.

:-)

No idea why they do it. Imagine being that bored that you waste your time posting on stocks you have no interest in to people who have filtered you.

Beyond me.

It certainly will be interesting , Salamander has never achieved it's potential , and we all know why , so where can they go to stay in their nice paid jobs, I still belief Tanzania will be dumped for around 1/2 Billion pounds and that will then be it for another couple of years of bullshiiiting as the gravy train continues.

It will be interesting to see what the management do this year as the 2 flagship LNG assets, Tanzania and Fortuna, are mothballed due to no funding being secured. I dunno how much more that they can squeeze out of Thailand.....what we do know is their 2018 develop budget which swallows up all of the $103mio net cash position. The current 11k-12k bbd production is nowhere near enough to pay the overhead..... especially in a falling oil price environment.

Dear Mr Cooper , we have reviewed your request , have you heard of Mr Warren Buffet , he is a gentleman who has always said invest in the management not the company .

Dear Mr Cooper, one last point, have you ever considered a joint venture with one of the top companies in this sector , how about Schlumberger , oops sorry just realised you have already been shown the door by them , how about Exxon , very good company , make lots of money , pay their staff well and pay fantastic divis , now if you could get involved with someone like that , then yes we will give you lots of money. But I fear they would not give you a job , they expect results from their exec's.

Dear Mr Cooper , thank you for your request for funding , such a jolly good little project , I noticed that you are a public listed company , in that capacity have you ever come up with any figures to justify your desire to borrow more money .

Can you enlighten us on your inability to have moved the company forward since selling 20% of Tanzania for £1.3 billion , also why has Salamander performed so poorly for all your shareholders , where you not connected with that company.

Looking at your pay , you do appear to be rather well paid for someone who has not achieved very much for the people you are supposed to represent , ie the shareholders !

Can I suggest that maybe you should start to sell some of your highly valued assets in your balance sheet ,and then prove to people like us ( Bankers ) that you are indeed capable of running and building a business.

all the best

Asian banker.

Dear Mr. Asian Bank,

My name is Nick Cooper and I am the CEO of Ophir Energy, which has a fantastic LNG asset, located in "safe as houses" Equatorial Guinea, and needs $1.2bn in funding to get it operational and profitable. Could you see your way clear to lending us the above amount as I have sp#nked away in excess of $2.5bn over the last 6.5 years, overseen a share price drop of over 90%, and now need to borrow the conkers to get this project done.
I realized that you may well consider that I could be an inept and/or fraudulent cretin, looking at my abysmal managerial track record, but it was honestly not all my fault as I am only the CEO, and luckily I paid myself very well, so it's not all bad, for me anyway.
I sincerely promise to get it right this time and make shed loads of wonga for you and shareholders........

Ps. If Fortuna doesn't float your boat, we've got another bijoux asset in Tanzania which needs a similar financial "massage", or you can buy our 20% stake which is up for grabs for only $1.29bn (cash only).
I look forward to hearing from you in the not too distant future.......
