This management seem a bit inept at making proper decisions , consider their reasons for buying back shares at around £1.40 /£1.50 , around £25 million worth I belief , and since then the share price has crashed to an all time low , even the dogs on AIM have mostly doubled in the last 6 months. Cooper out , pronto please.

Would be a lucky day for holders if that were the cause of the delay.

A Soco/Ophir merger would make perfect sense - both got cash and assets and would compliment their interests. Thought that for a while now.

May be better merging with a stronger funded oiler than carrying on as an independent? Soco, for instance, has cash and is generating more than it needs for development of its producing fields.

I'd guess the banks are seeking more than management want to give? So what's the Plan B?

If Ophir fail to get Fortuna get away this time then the future of Ophir as an independent comes into doubt. The shareholder body may want to listen to offers?

You have Christmas and New Year, most of January gets written off, and the Far Eastern MO, is to decide at the end they don't like the deal, and chuck in some silly request...

Can someone tell me why it takes 5 weeks and counting to sign off on the "done deal" $1.2bn Fortuna financing with an "Asian bank"????.........is it because there isn't one to sign off on?????

No disrespect, but Cooper's promises to and performance for shareholders to date has been abysmal. I'm sure that the iis were expecting multiples of their original stake by now ..........not just a small fraction of it.
This is worth a look with the Fortuna funding in place......but certainly not without it.

Badger ii have been here a long time , they are waiting for the jackpot , possible takeout by a major once Fortuna is up and running , Cooper is on record from recently saying that Fortuna is going to be massive for shareholders , keep buying !

One good thing about the lousy liquidity here is that if the iis get cold feet it would be impossible for them to sell out, unless they had a willing counterpart buyer, and at a huge discount to the market price. So hopefully they should hang on.

Depends how you intend to get the money - if you mean walk down the street until you find it then news comes first!

Demand is ahead of forecast with more switching to gas from coal and oil than expected, especially in India and China where air pollution has become a massive problem and importing LNG is the best alternative. A better demand curve can only be good for Ophir.

That'll be where you are going wrong. LNG is not NG.

About $17 by Asian spot LNG.
