I have also topped up this morning. 18p is far too low, hopefully notching up a few good results will help with that.

Oh I hate it with a passion! But I need that 30p though!

Oh they are utterly useless! If you invest in OPG you are investing a minority in a minority of a company that is run by a guy that listens to no one and just dawdles along with too much strategy or delivery. Overseen by a bunch of pretty inexperienced non execs who turn up for the money and not much else. If it were on 5x EBITDA I’d sell but they have managed, by the grace of Shiva, to put together a 400MW power station and the thing generates shedloads of cash. Assuming Gupta doesn’t believe he is India’s answer to Warren Buffett, then the thing is cheap, assuming also they return the cash. So it is ok to hate.

I know the old adage that you shouldn't fall in love with your investments, but is it OK to hate them, because that's what I'm beginning to do here?

Haha whoops got mixed up! Gujurat is a cursed word round here

Also, I had general question about earnings release dates. Can companies give estimates in personal (i.e. email) communication with private investors about expected release dates? Or does it begin to blur the lines with insider trading (I was considering emailing OPG to ask). Cheers.

Had to top up at this price; recently reaffirmed market expectation and the only analyst I can find estimates a 3.8 p/s earnings, that's £14m earnings on £70m Mk/cap and £138m net assets. Also, although their LTIP is a rip off, at least it clearly shows they expect it to hit 30p. Short of Gujurat exploding I can't see how this can go too wrong before July/September.

Downward trend in coal price re-established since beginning of May, yet share price languishing. Patience is called for, I suppose....

They will be presenting on Thursday and there are over 60 companies coming to the event and some great speakers and panel sessions.

That's good to know - thanks. We can only hope that they make the LTIP more challenging to achieve..

I spoke to Dmitri last week about the publication of the Final Results. I did raise the disquiet that the LTIP had caused. I think that the issue will be covered in the Accounts.

Thanks Boff. Are you also in a position to express displeasure regarding LTIPs to the board? :)

Mrx - Boffy has a direct line to the company.

Yes I agree with that, although if there were any news they normally update fairly quickly. Are you able to advise where you heard this??

Lizardman.
I have been advised that the year end results will be published in July. A lot earlier than last year.

Show me a BOD that doesn't feather their own nest before shareholders!

Cash talks imo, at £35m profit on £75m market cap this still looks good to me.

Have sold out of these, too much debt, BOD not to be trusted and another red line don't trust anything involved with the Indian Market. Good luck to anyone remaining with them.

Although it looks cheap and good value, as you are all saying the management appear to be the normal greedy load of scandalous crooks lining their own pockets. Am very tempted to sell my holding, very rarely have my investments with greedy/poor management worked out. Wish there was some way of getting rid of them.

It was indeed positive but I still think the LTIP is scandalously generous. If they set the target price at 60p I might have been happier.

Dmitry confirmed they were going to pay a cash dividend previously; not just a scrip this year (though that worked out just fine last year!).

I thought the update was rather positive, they are certainly managing to pay debt down at quite a clip.

Jozo. I'm more afraid they will decide not to pay dividends and bump up the share price with higher retained cash in company.
