That sale yesterday was either Grade or Dunleavy dumping their entire holding. Probably expect the other one to do the same so plenty to buy. I topped up below the placing price so happy enough

Looks like that large 8m share trade was the cause of today's drop. Couldn't help but top up below the placing price.

Without doubt a very good deal was struck with money being raised at such a small discount, and a future good investment at the current level.

My mistake its not part catalogues - that would be really difficult !

When they say that they are buying 30% of an artist's catalogue I think they are buying 30% of it all not buying a selection of the catalogue so the monitoring of the asset is no different from when they buy it outright. - one of the attractions to the artist is that OMIP increase the artist's share as well as their own through their work using TCAT etc.

I think as artist asset release is a completely new market, it should get a lot of news coverage.

Well fund-raising should be out of the way for a good while.

The next bit of news should be which part catalogues they acquire although up to now I’m not familiar with the artists they’ve got - which I guess is the point. They’re not in the multi-million business of buying rights from Pink Floyd etc !

So its probably the multiples they appear to buy at that will be more important and the first news of income streams from them.

A very impressive RNS from an outsiders point of view. I might join you at some point, Yump.

No competitors according to the statement. I wonder if tcat is making it easier to track partial parts of catalogues.

Perhaps it will turn into a major business model.

Well that gives them some fire power for sure. Let's hope they spend it wisely and quickly to get the earnings coming in. Will be interesting to see who comes in as new shareholders

This is not for traders. The spread and liquidity are irrelevant to all the holders that I know.

This is a grown ups thread where people are looking at long term growth prospects, not a quick snort behind the trading desk.

Just updated header with the half year results to April 2020.

Its not often you see a perfect demonstration of how increasing revenue with fixed costs, can lead to a rapid jump in profits. Last time I saw anything like this was when a production line went from 70% to 90% utilisation and I got to see the figures.
