Anyone know is todays RNS means anything material? |
sim.. - exactly! |
They can't afford for any confidence to build.. So they will always sell into the open and close. |
Buy when there is fear and sell when the greed takes over people's mindsThese shorting xxxxx need to sell at the open to keep the momentum going down |
Nothing a short City break won't cure :-) |
Extreme fear on the index: |
Shorters will get hurt here. They'll be buying back at 300 which will take it even higher Makes little sense to short on this PE with good business momentum |
Short positions increased a lot today. Moving from 1.1% to 2.1%.Interesting tactics , but would explain the bad day here. |
The update was positive and did specify that "that customer demand for holidays, from On the Beach in particular, continues to buck wider UK consumer trends"
I don't see whats caused the drop. The other thing that seems a bit harsh is that we have had a double drop as we fell in sympathy with Jet2 after their more cautionary statement. I'm used to my shares falling and often the reason turns out to be somewhat justified later on. Hopefully though trading here will continue to outperform the wider market.
FWIW I've booked a trip to Croatia with this lot, and a long weekend in Prague with Jet2. |
They didn't mention their long haul efforts which, previously, they've been upbeat about. Well heeled consumers seem to be the market that's doing ok at the moment, not just in the travel/leisure sector but high end retail too. So although they're trading in line that may just not be enough to power the share price when consumers have plenty of reasons for being cautious. How many pub and restaurant chains are bombarding us with offers to get us into their premises, I can't ever remember having so many and I use to work in that sector so tend to take note. Not saying OTB has any particular problems just that it might be a slower ride to previous highs than we'd hoped for. |
Or maybe US opening... |
Nice delayed reaction, broker note getting about? |
One thing i noticed was the phrase ' adjusted pbt ' .ebitda and not pbt?DbD |
Surprising move down to 224p this morning before bouncing back up again to 245p. Clearly some people don't like good news. |
Very upbeat statement. £:€ has appreciated 4.7% in 1 YR giving Brits a nice uplift in purchasing power. Market will recognise the metrics here eventually. No issues holding for me. Might top up on undue weakness. |

Those notes are not protected by inflation. Shares are. |
I sometimes write £10 on £5 notes and hoard them away for at least a year. I find its ok while you keep them in the drawer. There is a definite feeling of greater wealth. However things can deteriorate quickly when attempts are made to use said notes in various establishments. |
A growing business, capital light and expanding margins. It's on the wrong PE too (11\12)We have a rerate coming on top of the growth. This has 5 quid written all over it in 12m |
OTB As a result, the Board is confident in delivering FY25 Adjusted PBT in line with the Company compiled consensus |
So that underpins the 18.8p EPS forecast for the year, and I suspect probably a little better.
Little confused how winter can be up 18%, summer up 10% so far....but whole year only up 10%?
Reassuring update either way and continues to look cheap |
Nice update imo. |
Significantly ahead - let's fly again |
