It does seem quite plausible that a tender offer would be the preferred option for the families. They could stay invested with NAV accretion whilst everybody else can sell at a reasonable price. The problem might be the takeover code, since by not tendering the families would probably end up with majority control. But since Hansa also owns the same funds, perhaps a merger of some kind would be on the cards anyhow. Complicated stuff...
