Spielberg's 'The Fabelmans' was very good. Michelle Williams well in line for an Oscar.

That seems a poor service from your GP Carp. I'm still having issues with my waterworks, takes me a bit of time to start, then it's stop-start and I'm having to go more regularly than before, last night I was up 4 times. I suspect it's my Prostate as the infection has cleared and I'm at that age. Got a routine appointment for a face-to-face with my GP on 23.2.23, which I thought was pretty good.

Tennis tomorrow with a chap my age at the club and also playing Sunday with my son. Bathroom fitters back on Monday for the big bathroom so likely be some upheaval for the next week at least.

A disappointing week on the market with my folio stalwarts not doing well, PHNX, LGEN and SUPR to name a few.

Down -1.62% this week.

YTD now +2.51%

The saga of trying to see a GP continues... not sure if my bad back is hurting my sternum area of abdomen? or if pulled stomach muscles (not sure how if I have)? but summit's not feeling right. But I've not lost my appetite or anything else untoward so really not sure.

I have private healthcare via work so will try and go direct without a referral if need be.

3/7 for me on the quiz.

I'm down -0.469% on the day today (FTSE100 -0.363%) but up +1.94% on the week (FTSE100 +1.51%) and up +6.04% YTD (FTSE100 +5.78% and HIX +6.71%).

Worst falls: ADM -2.57%, SMDS -2.37% and PSON -2.11%.

Best rises:SHEL +2.93%, BP. +2.62% and AZN +1.79%.

SHEL finally got moving. AZN continues its rise. Falls seem random.

Nice but cold today, -3°C first thing, about +7°C maximum. I did the ironing.

Nearly time to head for the fish and chips. Looks like a decent few days yo come. Enjoy the weekend.

Down about 0.7% today, down on the week to to +7.47% KITW continues its run alongside UPGS/LUC but VLX/MRL and others continue to drift the wrong way.

My pulse has always been relatively low, last time I measured it was 58. My blood pressure has aways been a bit high 124/85. Always been the same from my younger day and whilst I used to cycle a bit I've never done a lot of running. If I've been out for a run (just for the sake of running) more than 20 times in my lifetime I'd be suprised. But I played a lot of football/cricket/tennis/squash.

Portfolio -0.89% today , only blue ones AZN, BP, BATS ,IMB ,UPGS, VOD and ULVR , everything else red.

-1.58% for the week , making +3.84% YTD.

Sunny morning, clouded over PM 11C.

Removed and cleaned out the u-bend on the kitchen sink (been gurgling lately) then some more raking on the drive.

Out for a greek lunch tomorrow, then QPR v Millwall. Then we're off to the cinema to see the new Spielberg film.

Hike on sunday and then the rugby England v Italy . I see Marcus Smith has been left out.

-0.7% after a slight recovery from this morning's rapid descent. Two fundraisings in one week was always going to be tough. I suppose a YTD of +5.7% is not so bad.

Started bright and cloudy with a slight breeze but soon turned grey and cloudy with a wind that makes it feel cold, despite the thermometer suggesting it's milder. 9.3C after 3.2C.

Have a good weekend. It should be pleasant (apart from a wet NW Scotland) if you're lucky enough to see some sun.

A new overall all time week high in value but taking account of the monthly contribution which went in this week, -0.16% on the week so now +5.95% YTD

Busy weekend coming up. Taking some friends to a National Trust property tomorrow with a guest voucher they sent us. Off to a belated family afternoon tea on Sunday then a day off on Monday to spend out with the family for another Birthday treat!

The median U.S. asking rent rose 2.4% year over year to $1,942 in January—the smallest increase since May 2021 and the lowest level in nearly a year, according to a new report from Redfin (redfin.com), the technology-powered real estate brokerage. That’s roughly one-sixth the pace of January 2022, when rents were up 15.6% from a year earlier.

January marked the eighth straight month in which annual rent growth slowed. Rents fell 1.9% from a month earlier and were down 5.4% from the August peak of $2,053.

Imputed rent makes up over 30% of US CPI and that version says rents are still rising month to month. HHHhhhmmmm.......

Lovely surprise when we arrived at the marina in the Stag, eldest son met us there with the grandkids and we all had a nice lunch onboard followed by a quick visit to the local donkeys armed with carrots!

Certainly not a great end to the week for the investments.

My pulse is high sixties to low seventies.

Seems however I have a perfect heart. ECG earlier today.

Be careful what you wish for, many in the cemetery have very low resting pulse rates.
