07/6/2017 14:50 | spittingbarrel, yes but if you entered 1000 in the advfn portfolio it would value them at £95,050.00, so you would have to enter just 10 to make the figures right! EDIT: Apparently the problem has arisen as LSE shows the price as GBP instead of GBX but then surely advfn would show them as 9505.00 on the quotes page? | ![]() mrphil
07/6/2017 14:28 | MRPHIL - If you bought 1000 you would have 1000 bonds in your portfolio and they would cost you £950.50 plus commission and your running yield would be 6.44% and gross redemption yield would be 6.9% | ![]() spittingbarrel
07/6/2017 14:28 | Global slowdown? | ![]() aleman
07/6/2017 14:22 | spittingbarrel, so if you add them to your portfolio you would have to pretend you only had 100th of the true number then, ie if you bought 1000 you would need to add just 10 to the portfolio?! On the quote page it correctly shows it as pence. | ![]() mrphil
07/6/2017 12:20 | MRPHIL - it's 95.05 pence They show all bonds that way. | ![]() spittingbarrel
07/6/2017 11:34 | Iffy result from Shoezone. I was monitoring but will not buy as the dividend looks a bit too generous for the likely reduced cashflow. I was curious how rents at renewal could fall 21% but there is no explanation. Is the retail property letting market really that bad? I'm still tending to think this adds to evidence of UK slowdown but there is a lack of depth to the information. | ![]() aleman
07/6/2017 10:38 | Thanks for the link Aleman. spittingbarrel, advfn seem to have the decimal point in the wrong place on the portfolio screen, they have IPF1 with a current price of £95.05 instead of 95.05p, or am I going mad? | ![]() mrphil
07/6/2017 10:28 | Thanks, MrP. Just lucky with that one. It does seem odd that there was no inkling of the poor interims. I sold out due to the fall army worm crisis across central Africa but I don't think that is even mentioned, which I find very odd. TCN, I was less lucky with. I made some money and sold out on recession worries. I'm pleased sticking around a bit longer has paid off for you. che7win posted this on the MCLS thread. It's interesting for anyone holding food retail shares. | ![]() aleman
07/6/2017 10:20 | Thanks spittingbarrel. | ![]() mrphil
07/6/2017 10:05 | MRPHIL - IPF1 on ADVFN | ![]() spittingbarrel
07/6/2017 09:49 | Thanks spittingbarrel, sounds like a good deal. Is that bond still available? EDIT: I have found them on the HL website, but do they show up on advfn? Skinny, seems there is something going on somewhere all the time. | ![]() mrphil
07/6/2017 09:14 | MRPHIL - I have the IPF 6.125% 2020 bond, yields 6.9%, not bad for a 3 year bond but don't hold the equity. | ![]() spittingbarrel
07/6/2017 08:55 | Still have IPF on the watchlist, is anyone holding? | ![]() mrphil
07/6/2017 08:49 | I liked this bit. “The fact that the supply of new homes and existing properties available for sale remains low, combined with historically low mortgage rates and a high employment rate, is likely to support house price levels over the coming months.” | ![]() mrphil
07/6/2017 08:38 | I take it this what caused the 8:30 spike. Halifax HPI m/m 0.4% -0.2% 0.0% | ![]() skinny
07/6/2017 08:13 | Took the opportunity to sell some of my TCN into this mornings rise, more than doubling my money on them - thanks Aleman! EDIT: I see they are top of the risers board this morning! | ![]() mrphil
07/6/2017 08:03 | Aleman, well done for getting out of ZAM! | ![]() mrphil
07/6/2017 07:58 | Morning All. Very changeable this morning, bright sunshine one minute then heavy cloud the next and still pretty windy. Must get down and check the boat ropes this morning and make sure it's still where we left it! Tennis was interesting in the wind last night, managed to stay dry too! Sorry you're having to play less wllm, our bodies can hold us back at times! Good results from TCN this morning, hoping for another leg up. | ![]() mrphil
06/6/2017 19:17 | Another day of heavy falls despite one or two star performers, -0.59%. Today's largest value riser is POG, closely followed by CKN. Lots of fallers but the wooden spoon goes to BBA. The rain has cleared but it is still very windy and I shall be staying indoors today for a change. Enjoy your evening. :-) | ![]() hyden
06/6/2017 18:47 | Not sure what I'm down overall but, a sea of red, worst offender CLLN. Unfortunately, I'm having to play less tennis MrP having quite a few knee problems, arthritis in my right knee and strained the medial collateral ligament in my left knee early May, put me out for 4 weeks. These middle age wear and tear problems are a real pain ! wllm | ![]() wllmherk |
