03/3/2017 09:30 | GBP Services PMI 53.3 54.2 54.5 | skinny
03/3/2017 08:25 | 2/7 for me. Winning streak at pub quiz ended. Traffic home fairly busy. Not much news about and hardly any trades at the off for my lot | aleman
03/3/2017 08:07 | Now have 16 vs 4 | mrphil
03/3/2017 08:02 | Miserable start to the day, both the weather which is dull and wet and also the SIPP where 12 opened red and only 3 blue. :-( Looks like BRSN are trying to keep you sweet with a divi increase! | mrphil
03/3/2017 07:58 | Morning 3/7 for me, Nigel Farage again hobnobing with Trump I see, [not a spoiler]. BRSN's finals read like a catalogue of laundry operational disasters, I fear the worst. | blueliner
03/3/2017 07:49 | Morning All. A respectable (I thought so anyway!) 4/7 for me this week. So, another bit of fun and games where Mike Ashley has managed to be involved! | mrphil
03/3/2017 06:08 | Good Morning. 5/7. | skinny
02/3/2017 19:39 | 1000 maybe? | aleman
02/3/2017 19:21 | +0.10% for Folio. [FTSE250 -0.17%] significant xd's today, BEZ, CLIG, HICL & HSD made a difference, though CLIG +1.9% on my figures? But BGO -4.3% was biggest loser. Highest value riser : IGR +9.2%. Probable more job losses, local. | blueliner
02/3/2017 19:00 | US electrical and furniture retailer closes 88 shops to try avoid bankruptcy. 1800 to lose jobs. Trump gets in, stocks rise in anticipation of changes. Changes delayed so stocks rise. Good news up, bad news up. Delta passenger miles -1.7% in Feb. | aleman
02/3/2017 18:40 | Decent day for the SIPP +0.40% with UU., CTO & NG. taking top slots. Not so good for the pot which fell -0.25% main offenders being AMS, DC. & RR. | mrphil
02/3/2017 17:40 | I'm up +0.251% on the day today (FTSE100 -0.007%). Best rises: S32 +3.96%, CLLN +3.2% then BA. and BT.A, both +1.9%. Worst falls: INDV -1.7%, RIO -1.5% and MKS -1.3%. Nice bounce back from CLLN. Will it do more? Good talk at Probus today. "You, the Jury" by a local barrister. This was a joint meeting of 5 clubs. He is coming to us in April, so we may be able to recite it with him if he sticks to the same script. A nice clear sky all day, with a cold SW wind. I see that my summer snowflakes are flowering, as is the prunus (cherry plum) in the hedge. DF | deanforester
02/3/2017 17:07 | +0.1% for me, today. Lovely sunny morning dried things up and saw me open the back door around lunch when it got too warm inside. It didn't stay open long, though, as the wind picked up and it clouded over. High was 10.5C after 2.4C last night. The leaves on the main remaining stem of the tamato plant have wilted badly today. I can't believe I can make it to this point, only for it to die just before it's okay to go outside. There is just one minor stem left that has some new leaves on it. Countering that disappointemnt, a few aubrieta flowers have appeared and some ornamental plum buds have burst. It looks like the first of our daffodils will open tomorrow. (How often can I keep saying that?) | aleman
02/3/2017 16:52 | My SIPP finished up 0.02%. A mainly sunny day @11°C, but with a bite to the wind. As I suspected, a second series of Taboo has been announced. | skinny
02/3/2017 15:34 | Global art market contracts in 2016. | aleman
02/3/2017 14:49 | CLLN, don't you just love it! | mrphil
02/3/2017 14:21 | Petrol will get cheaper if oil keeps retesting $55 like this. It looks like it might fall through it one of these days. | aleman
02/3/2017 14:17 | Just noticed GSK has crept into the lead as my largest individual holding in the SIPP after recent rises. Aleman, won't petrol prices wait until we all change back before rising? ;-) | mrphil
02/3/2017 11:10 | US lease financing credit quality looks to have started deteriorating agin. Receivables over 30 days were 1.70%, up from 1.40% the previous month and up from 1.30% in the same period in 2016. Charge-offs were 0.43%, up slightly from 0.42% the previous month, and up from 0.26% in the same period last year. | aleman
02/3/2017 10:09 | Triple post for some reason so I'll report on yesterdays temperature which reached a high of 9.9°C and a low of 5.3°C | mrphil |
