Why aren't we seeing a bid for the company?

I have to aggree with the sentiment here, I too have lost too much to contemplate selling. When I bought into NNG several months ago it was a mid term play for me, obviously I didn't foresee what was to happen. I knew that last years trading wasn't going to be good but I was shocked at the value of sales made, I expected an upbeat statement released at the same time as the results and again was shocked to the core when it was revealed that all was not good with the deal.
With regards to lack of talk on lse, I think it's just that people have been hit hard and it's a bitter pill to swallow. Also people may be afraid to get that excitement back that comes with the researching and the possabilities that we believed would make this share price fly.
For me I am certainly a lot more cautious in light of what has happened but a mid term play it was and still is, you never know we may just look back in a year or 18 months and laugh at how low the share price is now. Only time will tell.

lol! Well i hope it turns around. A lot of equities are going down at present due to high oil prices and market sentiment. NNG don't have much value at present so that's a saving grace. The boards on lse, iii etc have gone pretty quiet now which is a shame because the research done and info after calls were made to JA were useful and gave me confidence to hold this.

I think i will hold but after this one i've decided not to invest in any speculative companies again. The risk is too high. Banks and housebuilders will be getting my interest next.

Any ideas what you think might happen here wolterix? You sound fairly clued up. Must say I have lost some of that passion i had for nng recently when they took a few thousand of my hard earned. Maybe others are feeling the same which explains the lack of chat recently. Your opinions would be welcome : )

p.s. i'm andymn on lse in case you wondered. : )

Anybody have any information on when we might expect to see a placing and how much they might want to raise?

Don't think Mr. Matthews would like to fail in his own back yard.
Those are words I really like "Reverse take over".Some serious money to be made if this happens.

This company is in intensive care on a life support machine with Mr Matthews' finger hovering over the switch, just look at the facts, they have no money, a 'super duper' product that nobody wants to buy and a mystery oem agreement of which we don't have any proof has actually been signed. It seems to me that the only asset is a stock market quote so maybe the way forward would be to mothball the products until there is a market for them and then Mr Matthews could reverse one of his profitable private companies into nng.

Any chance company can make a recovery from here?
My holding is worth too little to sell at present.
Here's hoping!

OK, but I'm not sure the holding company would be particularly happy if things went the way everyone seems to be suggesting

non taken Graham, good to get the facts straightened out

Wolterix - your last post is totally misleading and should be editted IMHO...
He is not only not a multi billionaire - according to the rich list he is no longer even a billinaire...
The 2 mill you mention that wasn't in his current account is blatantly misleading as we all know the loan facility is through his loan company Wesley Clover and not coming from the mans own pocket at all...
Therefore NO RISK TO HIM PERSONALLY......
No offence intended...

Well, he thinks the co has a stable foundation moving forward with the European OEM, which is what he said,

some other Director buying would be good though

"imho, there will be another massively dilutive placing (at 0.5p)"

I was under the dilusion that it was not possible to issue more shares at a value below the nominal value of the shares. ie 1p
That would imply the requirement to split the current share stock by 2:1 at least, if it was going to happen.

Sir T obviously believes the company has a future. Apart from the extra money invested through the last placing he has now put another £2 million at risk. I don't believe he is a fool.

explorer88 - 23 Jun'08 - 13:47 - 2568 of 2599

imho, there will be another massively dilutive placing (at 0.5p) and the share price will fall back to the 0.3p-0.4p level (giving m/c after placing of about £3.5 million).

PMSL! The same cretin who said the shares were worth 20p not 3 months ago.
