19/6/2008 08:13 | Wow, where did you get that deal? Top hotel. | spaceman12
19/6/2008 08:12 | time for a stinkbid methinks, someone may be desperate to get out and press the "at Best" button? | jonno1
19/6/2008 08:10 | Just as predicted, Mathews forced to put hands in pocket, this will now go private within 6 months, did stay at celtic manor this weekend for £70 and two rounds of golf....BARGAIN!! shares certainly are not! | jotoha1
19/6/2008 08:08 | results worse than expected, looks like this could go back to under 1p again. | explorer88
19/6/2008 07:25 | Will be amazed if its not marked down 30/40%. Once again a minnow has been pumped on false information, very poor show. There was definately some collusion going on after the OEM news, several of the pump posters were connected imo and soon disappeared. | spaceman12
19/6/2008 07:25 | The signs were there; the repeated delay in issuing results said something was wrong with the contract. Glad I got out. | someuwin
19/6/2008 07:23 | The staggering thing is the stock recently had a 4 fold rise from the bottom, amazing what a stock can do with a little news and non stop bb ramping. 6.69 mil market cap, jeez that is way too high and in this tough market ! If the mm's are half asleep and open unchanged i would get out quick. | 8trader
19/6/2008 07:20 | Gets worse, unlucky all holding :( On a different subject, an announcement was made early this year regarding a large pending contract with a telephone service provider. We were hopeful of completing the sale early in 2008 where the contract would have had a material and positive effect on the Company's financial situation. However, while negotiations continue, the size of the opportunity has since reduced and the time to contract completion is unknown. | spaceman12
19/6/2008 07:18 | Grim... "I am very disappointed by the lack of sales for last year and the first half of this year; my disappointment is only slightly tempered by the significant technical and commercial progress made by the Company towards building a stable business. We live in difficult times in the networking and service provider industry. The large next generation network deployments around the Globe, which the Newport equipment has been designed to empower, have continued to be delayed." | someuwin
19/6/2008 07:09 | Well glad i'm not in these this morning. | spaceman12
18/6/2008 21:56 | Should all become clear very soon. Good luck to you too. | monis
18/6/2008 21:53 | Monis, i think if you have kept faith and held since the contract rns or before you will be rewarded and a few of the people who got scared or impatient will be regreting it, thats my own personal thoughts dyor. good luck mate | mhw28865
18/6/2008 21:45 | mhw- I agree. | monis
18/6/2008 21:42 | The contract is fine they just have to keep the name of the client quiet at the moment as part of the deal. End of year results due out end of the week maybe we will hear a little more then be patient!! | mhw28865
18/6/2008 20:54 | that the contract is dead? poppadomonline.com | poppadomonlinedotcom
18/6/2008 11:29 | SC hi Not being off with you but ALL i post is in good faith - no less... If I post that the contract is dead - it is dead and I believe that... I know I risk being chastised if they do announce a contract but I sincerely believe if they do it won't be the one relating to the rns of 17/01...and won't be large enough to avoid a cash call... Not to say it won't come good - eventually - but it will be over a longer period than originally anticipated... | graham142
18/6/2008 11:29 | all buys today a tick up (at last) up 1% | andrbea
18/6/2008 11:26 | maybe there was a clue in their name? even though they're not really based there | wolterix
18/6/2008 11:20 | IF i ever get the chance to get out of this, u won't see me for dust. should have know better once i found out where the co was based. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz | max101
18/6/2008 11:17 | Graham What makes you believe that the original contract is "dead and buried", rather than simply unable to be confirmed? In particular, if that contract was being conducted *through* either UTStarcom, NSN or another OEM partner, is it not likely that getting PR approval would be extremely difficult? | slightlycynical
18/6/2008 11:10 | thanks graham | t1sh
18/6/2008 11:03 | t1sh hi 2 months ago there was still a chance it would complete - but now after all this time I beleive the original contract as stated in the 17/01 rns is dead and buried... thats not to say they aren't scrambling to get another in place to cover thier backs but doubt it will be as large as the original was to be - if they get one at all... | graham142
18/6/2008 10:49 | graham where is this company changing contract that you were talking about 2 months ago(insider knowledge)?? | t1sh
17/6/2008 08:47 | This is more interesting about UTStarcom - Basically it's deploying its mSwitch product for an NGN in Italy. A year ago, UTStarcom said it would supply the NNG product through mSwitch in Asia. Would be interesting to see if they've extended the deal to Europe Also see the presentation from its Analyst meeting last week NGN strategy laid out in detail. (No specific mention of SBC though) | slightlycynical |
