19/6/2008 14:25 | WARNING: I advise EXTREME caution with regards postings by Explorer88. In my opinion an extremely dangerous individual. | orinocor
19/6/2008 14:09 | and then what e88? | wolterix
19/6/2008 14:04 | good luck joey i'm still expecting these to go to previous low i.e. down another 30-40% | explorer88
19/6/2008 13:21 | I like the word 'overshadowed': | andrbea
19/6/2008 12:24 | Increased my holding by 200% to 4.5 million although the buys are all showing up as sells. Close to break even at these reduced levels so not too worried. My paper profit has dissappeared but expect in the long term to regain them. Once the panic is over I expect NNG to settle around the 1p mark. Nice round figure anyway. | joey_the_lips
19/6/2008 12:11 | Thanks for that Wolterix. | wig123
19/6/2008 11:56 | AGM 28th of July, London - spoke to John Ackroyd... OEM still there of course, some revenue this year more next as they said, and this 'opening' up of the products they offer , as requested by the telcoms companies, is yes to open up the 'attractiveness' of their offer / product, and yes they have the backing of their chairman pretty Ronseal RNS, figures not great of course but the company lives on... | wolterix
19/6/2008 11:30 | They have taken the city for a nice jolly, and are now forced to self funding!! What is amazing is how they managed to do it THREE times, smooth talking at its best, where are the city backers now?? licking their wounds! | jotoha1
19/6/2008 11:26 | When is the AGM? | wig123
19/6/2008 11:25 | well doubled my holding, think we're crazy and naive Wig? if it goes lower I expect I will triple it | wolterix
19/6/2008 11:24 | From the RNS: Matthews will also guarantee the company's overdraft facilities and sounded an upbeat note, saying: "significant technical and commercial progress has been made and the completion of the OEM Agreement [in March] should provide a good foundation for the longer term future of the company". | wig123
19/6/2008 11:22 | hmmmm.... this is a bit of an overreaction surely? they still have the OEM agreement with significant revenue in 2009 ensuring 'a more stable foundation' | wolterix
19/6/2008 11:04 | Well said Wolverix, we all know their is a risk with all aim shares some you win some you lose!! | mhw28865
19/6/2008 11:02 | no risk, no reward... | wolterix
19/6/2008 09:58 | trying to sift through the positives as best I can... In light of the prevailing circumstances, Newport is implementing a cost reduction program; the Company is being reduced to concentrate on core SBC and Border Gateway market segments. This will allow a reduction in the expense run rate of approximately 50% while retaining the core value of our technology and allow the Company to address selected business prospects, including business with the Company's major OEM partners. company re-focusing itself on its key offering, i.e. 'growing up a bit' maybe in light of it dealing with the big boys...? To respond to the market pressures the Company is engaged in a rapid development program to provide the functionality of our existing products on industry standard open platforms. This development has been requested by a number of telecommunications suppliers and operators. thought they were compatible? anyways, still 'refocusing' and making their kit more saleable, if they are implementing this at requests from these telcoms people, then they will buy? maybe SirTM was letting them run away with themselves, taking a back seat, now he wants to see a return... just my thoughts anyway | wolterix
19/6/2008 09:27 | i new i should have dumped this %$^£$%£!"*& | max101
19/6/2008 09:14 | going on from my earlier post though, if they do reduce operating expenses to £5 mill, with the £2 mill debt, and then bring in £8 mill or so, then they are just in profit! maybe next year then... | wolterix
19/6/2008 09:02 | credit to graham looks like the call about the contract being "dead" or at the very best reduced terms was absolutely spot on. | whonosewhy
19/6/2008 09:00 | Spaceman...look on their site , lots of promotions at the moment, this of course does not include the 2010 course, monty course is brilliant...could have been in porugal great layout, and lots of nice russian girls tending to your needs! | jotoha1 |
