10/6/2019 17:05 | If you buy now at 194p you will effectively be below 190p incl div of 5.4p. | eeza
10/6/2019 16:58 | I think it should ride out any downturn better than most. It is firmly at the value end of the market with 'affordable' rents. Undoubtedly some tenants could go to the wall, but nothing to cause a seismic shock to the rent roll. I'm still sitting on the sidelines and watching the share price come down. Itchy finger on the buy button and it has tempted me more than once. I will wait to see what happens on ex-div day. If we get below 190 it will prove too tempting to resist. FOMO is now a big factor. | lord gnome
10/6/2019 16:40 | It may be wise to factor in how this may trade through the next downturn. UK is now close to recession. Anyone have a view on that?, Thanks. | essentialinvestor
10/6/2019 16:25 | Thanks chucko. | rcturner2
10/6/2019 16:09 | Cash price remains around par. Gilt yields must have fallen about 60bps since launch. | chucko1
10/6/2019 15:52 | Still BBB+. Trades at asset swap spread of 254bps. Was 265bps in December but as low as 195bps on issuance. . | chucko1
10/6/2019 15:27 | "In February 2018, the Group issued a £300 million publicly listed corporate bond with a maturity of 10 years to March 2028 and a coupon of 3.5%. The unsecured corporate bond was rated BBB+ by Fitch." Does anyone know what this bond trades at currently? | rcturner2
10/6/2019 15:11 | Well I just added. I've got enough now at this price. If it goes lower I'll be adding. Woodford has lots to go yet but it's my guess there will be some tipping point where the market will realise he's shifted a large enough percentage of what he needs so that the bargain hunters will start scooping up what's left extremely fast. I am suffereing from FOMO and couldn't resist this price. I'll planning to hold for a good few years and maybe decades so happy to pay this for a decent stock like this. | cc2014
10/6/2019 15:03 | I am waiting and watching, I would love to buy these extra cheap. | rcturner2
10/6/2019 13:54 | Topped up today again in truth I require the income to replace NG.with the worry of Mr Corbyn and MacDonald getting into number 10 Woodys problems I can live with. In the fullness of time I believe nrr will be a safer place to be than the uk utilities. | wskill
10/6/2019 13:41 | He's barely started, and the new mandate holders have got to think whether to sell too. Remain a holder - doesn't affect their business. | spectoacc
07/6/2019 23:08 | "his ex-wife is now going to be substantially wealthier than he is." LOL ! I am not one for the women getting huge divorce settlements , but maybe I could make an exception here..... | fenners66
07/6/2019 19:44 | The same article that mistakenly lists his mandate transfer holdings as being sales. Logic says NRR going lower, but I'd not want to hold it short too long - the dividends will bite. | spectoacc
07/6/2019 18:34 | @EI - he has "all" of his wealth tied up in the funds and management co, with the exception of his house. Management co is finished. Funds will have a return - but what? Depending what skeletons they find, he's at risk of becoming the Fred Goodwin of the investment industry. No, not the Fred West, but still a pariah. I suspect reputation will matter more to him than money, but he will have to start thinking about the money side again soon. And always, in the back of his mind, in every nighttime waking hour - that his ex-wife is now going to be substantially wealthier than he is. | spectoacc
07/6/2019 17:41 | Lol hard to keep up with Woody! And now there's no simple search for seeing if the new mandate managers are selling too. | spectoacc
07/6/2019 15:48 | Come on, Specto, keep up! | chucko1
07/6/2019 15:39 | Agreed, although - most of the mandate stuff should have avoided the unlisteds. Not the CPI, KIE's etc. Edit - gorra laff, Woody just reported a nearly 1% sale of NRR done yesterday. He's getting out first! | spectoacc
07/6/2019 15:24 | Ah but chucko1 - if you'd just received that pile of sh*te (ex NRR, obvs!), knowing it was a fractional share of a liquidating fund (ie WEIF), would you want out ASAP, before Woodford, or would you wait? Could well explain some of yesterday's volume (assuming they've actually settled yet). And good point - all these RNS's are a day out of date. | spectoacc
07/6/2019 15:14 | I don’t think those taking over NW mandates will look to sell out in a hurry. Some, yes, but they know they own the good ones cheaply. And they have no redemption pressures which has catalysed this whole fiasco. | chucko1
07/6/2019 15:11 | Recall 5.8mm traded yesterday. Something’s going to show up. Effectively, they have been sold by Woodford even if by proxy. Either that or someone is taking out a short in anticipation of future large scale selling. But that would have been done a long time ago. | chucko1
07/6/2019 15:08 | Yeah, so - we're wrong about the Woodford sales (thanks @Jonwig for pointing it out). It's part of one of the mandates Woody has lost. ie yes, he's gone from 20% to 15%, but no, those 5% haven't been sold and are still waiting to be sold (I'm assuming the new manager won't want to keep too many Woodford fiascos). Applies to most of those he's RNS'd so far, ex a few like PURP. | spectoacc |
