The Company is now focusing on two new near-term revenue-generating opportunities, NPL-2505 and NPL-2510, both of which are global opportunities and could be funded over the next financial year from existing resources. NPL-2505 is a branded pharmaceutical and NPL-2510 is a biological screen for autism.

With autism in the news, I cannot understand why this is not moving up!!!

A G M tomorrow. Do they ever say much or will it be "all motions passed"?

That is excellent news, but if only they had maintained a multi party approach back in May!!!

Have a look at this one also which i think is the most shocking undervaluation I can find on AIM at the moment - I have just put a post on the board which highlights why:

News as a few predicted... going to have to wait a little longer (again!).

But also see the fact that they are in talks with "an expanded number of third parties" as a positive and potential for a higher T/O price... GLA

Lombiff....Have to agree. The good thing here I think is that there are few true "short termers" here. Certainly no sign of speculative buying at the sub 20p level, so I guess we will not see profit takers until the mid 20ps. GLA.

Beagle/Boobly - announcement is pretty much as expected. Of course, it may only be two third parties, but at least that makes it a bidding "war". No timing for further announcements, but patience required until the New Year methinks. As I said before, if it drops today because people were expecting the big news, then I think it'll be worth topping up.

All the best to all longs

Now talking to "an expanded number of third parties". Looking very promising I think. Much happier now.

10,000 sell now disappeared, new small buy at 17p.

Too quiet!

Amazing how all three MMs mark it up 1p on no buying, in fact a sell on Plus at 14.5p. Either they just follow each other or they all have a buyer lined up for later. Bit of blue is good news whatever. With 90k shares it's nearly a grand.

Lombiff :....Many thanks for that information which coincides with my thoughts .
I also think the most likely news will be along those lines :
`Discussions proceding`.
Pointless to sell unless `Needs must` , so the waiting continues .

Good morning Boobly - I tried dummy buys and sells a couple of days ago - they were happy to take 50K off me at the bid but wouldn't sell me more than a paltry 20K at full offer. It seems that the spread and size limits are stifling any trading (deliberately?) and designed to hoover up any loose shares released by weak holders. They walk it down 0.5p every few days and see if they can shake any more out.

As before, I'm sitting on my lot and waiting for the news. FWIW, I'm not convinced we'll get anything more than a "discussions are proceeding . ." RNS on the 9th. Hope I'm wrong, but we may have to wait until the New Year for the final outcome.

I don't see how the bid can be for less than cash - if it were, it owuld be better to wind the company up and return cash to shareholders. In that case, I think we'd get around 18-19p. This would be really disappointing but, with this in mind, if the news is inconclusive and we do drop further on the 9th, I think I'd have to buy some more.

Hanging in there . . .

Capitulation ?

This has been quite extraordinary (and so far very disappointing). Have any of the regulars tried to take out a significant trade , either short or long ?
I suspect someone just wanted this suspended in aspic until the deal was done and dusted .
News day next week I think ?

This must be the quietest "bid " stock in the market. No news, no dealing and no gossip. At least nothing actually negative!

A buyer of 20k at 16p makes me feel a little better. I've taken big profits in the past at up to 37.7p but currently hold 90k at average of 23p so feeling a bit twitchy with a paper loss of nearly £9k. Next week should clear things one way or another. GLA.

I think the fundamentals are sound and as I have said before the share price whilst depressing (quite literally!) is not the whole story. The two recent spikes were a good example of this. Cash at June was 7m and as far as I understand all operations were long ceased by then, so burn rate should be very low for 12 peoples wages and the day to day stuff. I still think they're pursuing options for an independent route together with ongoing negotiations for JVs and perhaps an outright TO. I think the major shareholders got fed up and forced the directors into action. It will take time to work through the real options and to choose one which is best for the company and that decision is being led by the board so they will have their own interests as shareholders at heart and will demand maximum value, which means we will benefit. I do not think there is any talk of a mbo here. Having shook this up, the board are not going to entertain it going for less than cash, it just won't happen. The only thing that could change my mind is the current cash position but I am confident that it remains intact at around say 18p ps.

A bit of buying interest today makes things a little more interesting although 5 sells to 3 buys is not so good. Sellers sell for various reasons but buyers buy for gain.

ihavenoclue :.....I hope you`re right about the fundamentals , if they ARE fine , all should be well in the end .
Totally agree with you about appointing PIPs ; if it`s just stupidity , lazyness or incompetence , then I`m more relaxed . ( But, still disgusted .)

Seems that nearly all the PJ rats are out ... what's the betting they clear before we get any announcement ?

Boobly .. fundamentals are fine ... the way NPH have handled it and who they handed control to over the offer stinks to high heaven.
