11/11/2009 13:19 | I have wrote an e-mail from Neuropharm's website complaining about the situation and I would suggest as many others as possible do the same. | ihavenoclue
11/11/2009 09:09 | Piper are still the seller on L2, 1p below the other MMs on bid and offer. Certainly in no hurry to close their short position. I suppose they don't want to be seen as the one on the bid, but surely they could make the same share price as the other 3 MMs. Fishy ain't in it. | the_beagle
11/11/2009 09:04 | " Boobly - 7 Nov'09 - 13:52 - 2548 of 2567 edit ............Looks like PIP`S have got the share price successfully capped for the moment ....." aH ! As mentioned above , I `Suspect` they have already engineered `The Price` to facilitate a sale . I don`t think they are actively engaged in some determined shorting campaign . Still not happy :>( | boobly
11/11/2009 09:03 | Looks as if they bought 12k on the 9th at 18p. This seems to leave them still short of 29k, maybe at say 23p. That is their job as market makers I suppose. However as I said before, it stinks that the same outfit, although a different department behind Chinese Walls, is the sole negotiator for the sale of NPH. If a bid came in at 40p, and they were still short, then I guess it would prove their integrity. I still don't like it. There should be a totally independent merchant bank handling the sale, and as a shareholder I am mailing the company to make that point. | the_beagle

10/11/2009 16:00 | IMHO this whole process was handled badly, if they had announced a possible bidder on results day I feel the share price would have soared, may be drifted back down to around 30-35p but it would have given long term holders some relief. Oh well so much for PR | quinan
10/11/2009 15:42 | yes from -6% down this morning, it's a strong turn back up nia dyor | andrbea

10/11/2009 14:08 | Boobly. I do have contacts who work in the industry. Like a lot of other sectors, everyone seems to know everyone else and someone generally can give an opinon that I value but is, just an opinion. I still feel very positive about this company and it is a bit difficult when the share price doesn't react how we expect it would, because one can't help feeling someone knows something we don't! My philosophy is there's always someone who knows something we don't, so we just have to keep up the research and try to stay a little bit ahead or at least try and anticipate. And really if we'd have known about Tuesdays announcement in advance who wouldn't have bet the farm on it. So knowing something doesn't necessarily mean anything in this market although to be fair you would have seen a small profit even at todays share price Like you say nothing to do but wait and see. | arc2006
10/11/2009 13:40 | Arc :.....Thanks for your soothing words , I`m assuming you`re `Close - ish` to the action . Nothing to do but wait and see . | boobly
10/11/2009 13:33 | As I understand it a lot of work is going on behind the scenes at the moment. I don't personally think this is an inside job but the first time an opportunity has arisen for another pharma to get the company lock stock and barrel by invitation. I think a lot of people are sitting down and chatting with us now. I believe there is an offer in principal but that company probably realise that they won't get exclusivity because NPH has too much that others would want and they won't be the only ones involved. As we all feel we are about or below cash level here, then the uplift form here is what we thing the company is worth. Very difficult to value. We're not talking about wing and a prayer here. We have proven compounds with postive trial results representing many years R&D. That has a value. I don't think any other company is as far down the line as us and for many of them picking this up for say £10m would be peanuts. Remember, where we were pre phase III on NPL2008. We now have two new compounds and a new phase III lined up. We may not be able to fund it ourselves, but that doesn't mean the value of the company isn't three times the current share price All IMHO. 10/11/2009 09:29 | ....." I wouldn't be surprised if one of our existing major shareholders (perhaps Sir Chris Evans) emerges as a bidder."..... Niether would I ! I`ve felt , and expressed my view for some time that this `Feels` like an `Inside job` . I`ll not say what I feel about THAT . ....Best out come is genuine interest from outside business , but I`m not holding my breath .... | boobly
10/11/2009 09:21 | ihnc - no, an offer hasn't been made - the potential bidder will be doing their due diligence, counting the pennies in our bank account and working out how much to offer (if anything), bearing in mind the cash, assets (including IP), compounds under trial, other R&D etc. They'll bid what they think they can get away with, under the threat that they may pull out and buy us for less later. Ideally, we should be trying to attract a rival bidder so they keep each other honest. I wouldn't be surprised if one of our existing major shareholders (perhaps Sir Chris Evans) emerges as a bidder. Anyway, while this is all going on, we are unlikely to get any further news, unless the bidder comes in with a knockout offer - so we'll have to just sit tight, probably until December 9th, possibly a bit longer, for definitive news. In my experience, even if a bid does come in at, say, 30p, you won't be able to get 30p in the market - the market will price them at something like 27p/30p so that the impatient can get out for 27p and the MMs soak them up at that price and make 10% when the bidder closes. IMO, if the first bid comes in at less than 30p, we'll see a rival bidder. Good luck whatever you decide - each to their own - I've said all along that I'd wait until the New Year before I sell a single share, and I've no reason to change that now. If we get another spike down, IMO it will be like buying £10 notes for £9 and it will be too tempting and I may have to buy more. All the best | lombiff
10/11/2009 08:46 | I think I should have waited before buying in ... I just couldn't believe it would drop below 20p after an offer had been made ... or has it ? | ihavenoclue
09/11/2009 20:05 | needs a good offer price then the market has to listen as they certainly aren't at the moment | ihavenoclue
09/11/2009 16:17 | Arc...I sure hope so but the way this is drifting, the less confident I am. | the_beagle
09/11/2009 15:25 | Strange that a potential JV saw this take off, but confirmation of a possible offer is ignored. The door has been opened for any pharma to get their hands on NPH compounds and millions of pounds of R&D, oh yes and say 5-6million quid into the bargain. I know of one company that has already been mentioned with NPH in the past who are looking for aquisitions and they have a big bundle of cash in the bank. 30p has got to be the starting point surely? DYOR | arc2006
09/11/2009 08:45 | Would be nice to see an RNS mentioning the offer price ... could be weeks away though if it appears | ihavenoclue
07/11/2009 13:52 | You only have to read the recent RNS`s / results to see exactly why we`re here and what the company needs to do . Until then..... " The Company will provide a further update to shareholders at the time of its AGM on 9 December 2009 ,...." Looks like PIP`S have got the share price successfully capped for the moment . ...." or such earlier time as may be appropriate depending on the progress of its discussions with third parties. " NB : " parties " ...........Plural . I like that ! It would probably be most unhelpful to have a volatile and unrealistic share price during this period . ie : I don`t think anyone has a clue about the potential value here other than Cash , so Cash value it is . 06/11/2009 14:22 | It's also in the new Annual Report, can't believe there aren't buys going through at this level. | mike_f |
