12/1/2016 12:17 | FINNCAP Note Ncondezi Energy: Agreement with Shanghai Power signed (BUY) Ncondezi Energy has announced that, after around two years of negotiation, it has signed a binding Joint Development Agreement with Shanghai Electric Power Co Ltd (SEP) for the development of the Ncondezi 300MW coal-fired power project in Tete, Mozambique. SEP will now invest up to US$25.5m to fund the ongoing development costs to Financial Close in exchange for a 60% interest in the power station project. Following Financial Close, the joint venture will pay Ncondezi US$35m on initial drawdown of construction funding. This will go towards funding Ncondezi’s 40% equity interest in the project. Our target price remains under review, pending release of details of the updated technical and economic parameters for the project. | cammy3 | |
