QMC samples could fail with HDR like QD Visions then it's a nightmare scenario for them, even on Film that's the worry with cheap knock out QDs.The colour on the TV will show more RED they have got 3 years before they reach Samsungs standerd and 2 years before Nanos.

Slippy- your incoherent rage does not serve you well. In this instance, you were caught by the small slump late on Monday down to 46p. Well, yes, that is the lower boundary of the support between 46-48p, but the share price has recovered and your short has gone wrong. Be manly about it!

Kuss/Mapocho- keep up the good work. But be reassured that some of the rest of us have not sold out. Quite the contrary- I'm buying on dips and will ride out whatever the market throws at us.

Samsung are consolidating their position and so are Nanoco and as you have said repeatedly, "where's the opposition" ?

A small company with major partners with large footprints in all of the US, Europe and Asia with strong IP in a disruptive technology.

Quantum Materials Corp Shipping High Performance Sample Sets, Secures up to $9.75MM FinancingSan Marcos, TX – November 30, 2016 – Leading North American quantum dot manufacturer Quantum Materials Corp (OTCQB:QTMM) (Quantum) today announced that it is shipping high performance red and green cadmium-free quantum dot sample sets to display film manufacturers. Cadmium-free quantum dots are an eco-friendly material that enables energy efficient, ultra-bright displays with a significantly expanded color gamut at a lower cost than competing technologies. "Demand for quantum dot-enabled TVs and displays is growing rapidly," commented Quantum Materials Corp CEO Sri Peruvemba. "Our materials, combined with the efficiency and scalability of our continuous flow production technology, makes us uniquely situated to meet the demand regardless of how fast it grows."

With Samsungs buyout of QD vision, where are their old partners looking to now,TCL,Hisence,Sony,Philips and a few TABs for CFDQs?DOW payment due after today and WH might pay a sum for their first shipments, could Merck start to supply Philips?

The technology life cycle: R&D - ascent - maturity - decline. It's not exactly difficult to see where CFQD is.

Slip, so on the same logic does Samaung's purchase of QD vision's patents last week make Samsung's IP half baked? That's the logic you are using.

And you are right that Nano can produce CFQD's and has manged to secure supply agreements, paid for in hard earned cash.

The comments on TCL are interesting. Often the journalists get it wrong, but the spec appears on a company news site, so that's different. TCL was with QD vision, then Nanosys. Not sure where they are getting their qdots from but Hansol doesn't supply anyone but Samsung.

That latest blog with emphasis on China also interesting. Quite a few Chinese companies releasing Qdot TV's at CES in January. Probably LG along with them.

Really

I find the collapsed and continuously depressef share price of Nanoco PLC utterly comforting and reassuring. Rather like walking around wrapped in a large duvet.

Obviously im not alone in thinking that Nanoco technolgy is nothing more than a half baked curiosity that is now failing at the hurdle of commercialisation.

A repost:-

A number of the Kodak patents are variations on the same theme: methods of making inorganic LED layers using QD's as a key ingredient (ie QLED). The claims are not especially narrow, which is good, and I have to assume that one of the patents (at least) has framed a QLED composition strategy that Nanoco see as highly relevant to them going forward. Samsung could have aquired these Kodak patents, but chose not to. Probably because they are dependent patents - ie one still needs a supply of QD's to make the QLEDs as described.

Use this search:
AN/Kodak AND "quantum dot" AND electroluminescent

Here:

NB: Not all of the 23 hits are relevant! Happy reading :)

It has become blatantly obvious that Nanoco is just an almighty bluff

Yes they are a tecnology company. Yes they csn produce cadmium free quantam dots. Yes they have courted major electronics companies. Yes they have one or two loosely framed supply agreements.

But the purchase if the Kodak IP only reinforces what I have said all along. The Nanoco tech is half baked and doesnt cut the mustard with rhe big OEM's. This fully explains the dragging of heals and willingness to renegotiate by DOW. Seeing it any other way is quite simply ludicrous.

Nanoco, the short of the century for those that walk around with their eyes open.

Thanks for mentioning that howl01. For those who like a simple life here is a direct link to the blog:

Not a great deal of new information but I hope the Chinese audience were receptive to Dr. Pang's presentation and Keith Wiggins panel comments:

Nanoco took a leadership role at the conference. Dr. Hao Pang, Nanoco’s Greater China Vice President, gave a powerful presentation to leading Chinese display manufacturers on our CFQD® quantum dots technology and its applications. I was honored to join a prestigious panel of industry leaders discussing quantum dots as the most powerful entrant in next generation display technology.
